진도 운림산림욕장이 붉은 꽃무릇으로 물든 가을밤의 낭만을 선사한다.

진도군은 꽃무릇 개화에 맞춰 9월 12일(금)부터 10월 5일(일)까지 편백 숲 속 산책로를 야간 개장한다고 밝혔다.

산책로를 따라 심어진 50만 본의 꽃무릇은, 요양병원에서 산림욕장으로 이어지는 진입로와 쌍계사, 두목재, 장미원(운림예술촌) 등 사천리 일대 곳곳에서 붉게 피어, 방문객들의 발길을 사로잡는다.

이번 야간 개장에서는 오후 6시부터 10시까지 편백 쉼터를 중심으로 휴게시설을 확충해, 가을밤의 선선한 공기 속에서도 꽃무릇의 매혹적인 자태를 감상할 수 있다.

김희수 진도군수는 “붉게 타오르는 꽃무릇이 풍요로운 가을밤과 어우러져 방문객들에게 특별한 추억을 선사할 것”이라며, “안전과 편의를 최우선으로 현장 관리에 만전을 기하겠다.”고 말했다.

꽃무릇은 잎과 꽃이 동시에 피지 않는 독특한 특징 때문에 ‘슬픈 추억’, ‘환생’ 등의 꽃말을 지니고 있어, 깊은 감동과 가을 감성을 더한다.

올가을, 운림산림욕장에서 붉게 물든 꽃무릇 속을 걷고, 가을밤의 감성을 마음껏 느껴보자. 사진 찍기 좋은 포토존과 편백 쉼터가 준비돼 있어, 가족과 연인 모두에게 잊지 못할 추억을 선사할 예정이다.

Red Lycoris Blossoms Light Up the Autumn Nights at Unrim Forest Bathing Area
Jindo County Opens Night Viewing from September 12 to October 5 – Evening Walks from 6 PM to 10 PM
The Unrim Forest Bathing Area in Jindo County is set to offer a romantic autumn experience, bathed in the vibrant red blooms of lycoris flowers.
Jindo County announced that, in line with the flowering season, the cypress forest walking trails will be open for night viewing from Friday, September 12, through Sunday, October 5.
Along the walking paths, approximately 500,000 lycoris flowers have been planted. Visitors can enjoy the striking red blooms along routes connecting the nursing hospital to the forest bathing area, as well as at Ssanggyesa Temple, Dumokjae, and the Rose Garden at Unrim Art Village in the Sacheon-ri area, captivating all who stroll through.
During the night openings, from 6 PM to 10 PM, rest facilities around the cypress resting area have been expanded, allowing visitors to appreciate the enchanting flowers even in the cool autumn evenings.
Mayor Kim Hee-soo said, “The blazing red lycoris flowers combined with the rich autumn nights will create special memories for visitors. We will do our utmost to ensure safety and convenience on site.”
Lycoris flowers are unique in that their leaves and blossoms do not appear simultaneously, symbolizing “sad memories” and “rebirth,” adding a layer of deep emotion and autumnal charm.
