“해남 농산물, 유통 혁신 나선다!”

해남군의회 ‘농산물 유통구조 개선 연구회’(대표 박상정 의원)가 지난 9월 9~10일 경남 진주와 남해를 방문해 농산물 유통 선진 사례를 직접 확인했다.

이번 현장 학습은 해남군 농산물 유통 구조를 개선하고 농가 소득 증진에 실질적 도움을 줄 정책 방안을 모색하기 위해 추진됐다.

연구회는 현지 유통 담당 부서 및 농협 관계자들과 간담회를 갖고 제도적 지원, 유통 활성화 전략, 가격 안정화 방안을 논의했으며, 산지유통센터 작업장 견학을 통해 선별·포장·저장 시설 운영 과정을 직접 확인했다.

진주는 조합공동사업법인을 통해 농산물 마케팅과 유통을 일원화하며 가격 결정권을 확보하고 있고, 남해는 마을별 순회 수집 후 집하장에서 경매를 실시하는 등 지역 특성에 맞는 유통체계를 운영 중이다.

연구회는 이번 벤치마킹을 바탕으로 해남군 실정에 맞는 유통구조 개선 정책을 마련하고, 농가 소득 향상과 물가 안정에도 기여한다는 계획이다.

박상정 의원은 “현장 사례를 직접 확인하며 실질적 정책 대안을 모색할 수 있었다”며 “앞으로도 지속적으로 연구 활동을 이어가겠다.”고 밝혔다.

Council Research Group Benchmarks Practices in Jinju and Namhae to Explore Practical Improvement Measures
The Haenam County Council’s research group on “Improving Agricultural Product Distribution Structures” (led by Representative Park Sang-jung) visited Jinju and Namhae in Gyeongsangnam-do on September 9–10 to observe advanced cases of agricultural product distribution firsthand.
The field study was conducted to explore policy measures that can improve Haenam’s agricultural distribution system and provide practical support for increasing farmers’ incomes.
During the visit, the research group held meetings with local distribution departments and representatives of agricultural cooperatives to discuss institutional support, strategies for revitalizing distribution, and measures to stabilize prices. They also toured the work facilities of agricultural product distribution centers to observe the selection, packaging, and storage processes directly.
In Jinju, the cooperative joint business corporation centralizes marketing and distribution of agricultural products, securing pricing authority, while Namhae operates a distribution system tailored to local characteristics, collecting products from villages and conducting auctions at collection centers.
Based on this benchmarking visit, the research group plans to develop distribution policy improvements suited to Haenam’s circumstances, aiming to enhance farmers’ incomes and contribute to price stability.
Representative Park Sang-jung stated, “By observing these on-site cases, we were able to explore practical policy measures. We will continue our research activities to develop policies that provide tangible benefits to Haenam’s farmers.”
