해남 두륜산을 오르는 길, 발걸음은 단순한 이동이 아니라 계절을 통과하는 의식과도 같다.
겨울의 끝자락을 딛고 올라선 산길에서 가장 먼저 마주하는 것은 공기의 변화다.
차갑던 바람은 어느새 부드러워지고, 숲은 말없이 봄의 문을 열고 있다.

노승봉과 가련봉, 그리고 두륜봉으로 이어지는 능선 위에 서면 비로소 봄은 ‘보이는 계절’이 된다.

가련봉에서 내려다본 풍경은 단순한 경관이 아니다.
강진만 위에 점점이 떠 있는 작은 섬들은 마치 봉우리의 향기를 받아 노래하는 듯 고요히 자리하고, 하늘은 한 치의 망설임도 없이 푸르다.

그 아래, 천년의 시간을 견뎌온 숲은 이제 막 기지개를 켠다.
겨울의 깊은 잠에서 깨어난 나무들은 새살을 밀어 올리며 다시 생의 문장을 쓰기 시작한다.
그 모습은 화려하지 않지만, 그래서 더 강하다.
생명은 언제나 조용하게, 그러나 분명하게 시작되기 때문이다.

산을 내려 대흥사에 이르면 봄은 또 다른 얼굴로 다가온다.
세계문화유산의 품 안에서 만나는 홍매화는 단순한 꽃이 아니다.
천년의 숨결이 응축된 시간의 꽃이다.
가지마다 피어난 붉은 기운은 겨울을 견뎌낸 생명의 선언이며, 그 곁을 맴도는 나비의 날갯짓은 봄이 완성되고 있음을 알리는 신호다.

도량에는 향기가 스며든다.
꽃의 향기이자, 흙의 향기이며, 다시 살아나는 시간의 향기다.
사람은 그 안에서 비로소 멈춘다.
그리고 깨닫는다.
봄은 보는 것이 아니라, 스며드는 것이라는 사실을.

두륜산에서 대흥사까지 이어지는 이 길은 단순한 산행 코스가 아니다.

우리는 종종 봄을 기다린다.
그러나 어쩌면 봄은 기다림의 대상이 아니라, 스스로 찾아 나서야 만나는 계절인지도 모른다.

그래서 오늘, 다시 길을 나선다.
봄을 찾기 위해서가 아니라, 이미 와 있는 봄 속으로 들어가기 위해.

Spring always rises from below.
The breath of the earth loosens first,
and the human heart walking upon it awakens soon after.
The path up Duryunsan in Haenam is not merely a journey of steps, but a quiet ritual of passing through a season.
On the mountain trail, standing at the edge of winter, the first thing one encounters is a change in the air.
The once biting wind softens, and the forest silently opens the door to spring.
Standing along the ridge that connects Noseungbong, Garyeonbong, and Duryunbong, spring finally becomes a visible season.
The view from Garyeonbong is more than just scenery.
The small islands scattered across Gangjin Bay sit in stillness, as if singing the fragrance of the peaks, while the sky stretches endlessly blue without hesitation.
Below, the forest that has endured a thousand years begins to stretch awake.
Trees, emerging from the deep sleep of winter, push forth new life and begin to write the sentences of existence once more.
It is not a flamboyant sight, and that is precisely why it is strong.
Life always begins quietly, yet unmistakably.
Descending toward Daeheungsa, spring reveals another face.
The red plum blossoms within this UNESCO World Heritage site are not merely flowers.
They are blossoms of time, condensed with a thousand years of breath.
Each branch blooms with a crimson declaration of life that has endured winter, while butterflies flutter gently beside them, signaling that spring is now complete.
Fragrance seeps into the temple grounds.
It is the scent of blossoms, of earth, and of time awakening once again.
Here, people finally pause.
And in that pause, they realize:
spring is not something to be seen, but something to be absorbed.
The path from Duryunsan to Daeheungsa is not simply a hiking course.
It is a narrative that crosses from winter into spring, a passage of time where nature and humanity breathe together.
We often wait for spring.
But perhaps spring is not something to be awaited—
it is something we must set out to find.
And so today, we step onto the path once more.
Not to search for spring,
but to walk into the spring that has already arrived.
