“농업과 에너지 융합 세계로”… 2027 국제농업박람회, K-에너지 농업 협력망 확대

전라남도국제농업박람회가 2027 국제농업박람회의 성공 개최를 위해 농업·에너지·정책 분야 핵심 공공기관들과 손을 맞잡으며 ‘K-에너지 농업’ 글로벌 협력체계 구축에 본격 나섰다.

전라남도국제농업박람회는 13일 전남농업기술원에서 한국농어촌공사, 한국에너지공과대학교, 한국농촌경제연구원과 함께 ‘2027 국제농업박람회 성공 개최를 위한 업무협약’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 2027 국제농업박람회의 핵심 비전인 ‘K-에너지 농업’ 실현을 위해 농업과 에너지, 정책 연구 분야 전문기관의 역량을 연계하고, 지역 농업기업의 국내외 비즈니스 기회를 확대하기 위해 추진됐다.
특히 각 기관이 보유한 환경·사회·투명경영(ESG) 정책과 농업 분야 탄소중립·에너지 전환 의제를 박람회 전시 및 국제협력 프로그램과 연결함으로써, 박람회의 국제적 경쟁력과 콘텐츠 완성도를 높이는 데 의미가 크다는 평가다.

협약에 따라 각 기관은 전시 콘텐츠 개발과 학술포럼 운영, 국제협력 네트워크 구축, 홍보 분야 등에서 역할을 분담해 협력하게 된다.
전라남도국제농업박람회는 행사장 시설과 인프라 지원, 학술행사 및 포럼 기획·운영, 협력 프로그램 홍보와 참가자 유치 등을 담당한다.
한국농어촌공사는 기후위기 대응 ESG 성과 전시와 탄소중립 체험·홍보관 운영 자문, K-농공기술 국제협력 전시, 스마트 물관리 및 정보통신기술(ICT) 체험관 운영 등에 협력한다.

한국에너지공과대학교는 농업에너지관 콘텐츠 자문을 비롯해 국제 에너지 농업 학술포럼 주제 발굴, 전문가 추천, 에너지 기술 및 창업 분야 청년 스타트업 프로그램 연계, 핵융합 등 미래에너지 분야 전시 콘텐츠 기획 자문 역할을 맡는다.

또 한국농촌경제연구원은 세계를 잇는 농업관 콘텐츠 개발 자문과 국제 농정 의제 발굴, 학술포럼 개최 지원, 국제개발원조(ODA) 기반 국제기구 네트워크 구축 등에 협력할 예정이다.
2027 국제농업박람회는 ‘지구를 위한 [해:답], K-에너지 농업’을 주제로 오는 2027년 10월 22일부터 31일까지 10일간 전남농업기술원 일원에서 개최된다.

총사업비는 78억 원 규모로 국비 21억 원, 도비 49억 원, 자체 재원 8억 원이 투입될 예정이다.
박람회는 신재생에너지·로봇 융합 농업 전시를 비롯해 정밀농업, 자율주행 농기계, 청년 스타트업 전시 등 미래 농업 기술을 중심으로 6개 플랫폼, 9개 전시·체험·판매관으로 구성된다.

이번 협약을 통해 지역 농업기업들은 박람회를 무대로 에너지 융복합 농업기술을 국내외 시장에 선보이고, 글로벌 전문가와 공공기관 간 교류 기회를 확대할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
또한 참여 기관들은 연구 성과와 정책 의제를 박람회 전시·학술 프로그램과 연계해 국제적 확산 기반을 마련하고, 농업 분야 에너지 전환과 국제협력 네트워크 구축에도 속도를 낼 계획이다.

협약 이후 4개 기관은 파트너십 협력위원회를 구성해 분기별 정기 협의를 이어가며, 이달부터 실무자 간담회를 통해 구체적인 실행 방안 마련에 착수한다.

고숙주 전남도국제농업박람회 사무국장은 “이번 협약은 2027 국제농업박람회가 농업과 에너지, 정책 연구를 연결하는 미래형 국제 플랫폼으로 도약하는 계기가 될 것”이라며 “각 기관의 전문성과 네트워크를 결집해 대한민국 농업의 미래 방향을 제시하는 국제행사로 준비하겠다”고 말했다.

“Connecting Agriculture and Energy to the World”… 2027 International Agriculture Expo Expands K-Energy Agriculture Cooperation Network

Strengthening Exhibition Content, Academic Forums, and Global Cooperation… “Presenting the Future Direction of Korean Agriculture”
The Jeollanam-do International Agriculture Expo has begun building a global cooperation network for “K-Energy Agriculture” by joining hands with major public institutions in the fields of agriculture, energy, and policy research for the successful hosting of the 2027 International Agriculture Expo.
The Jeollanam-do International Agriculture Expo announced on the 13th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the Jeollanam-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services with the Korea Rural Community Corporation, Korea Institute of Energy Technology, and Korea Rural Economic Institute for the successful organization of the 2027 International Agriculture Expo.
The agreement was designed to realize the expo’s core vision of “K-Energy Agriculture” by linking the expertise of institutions specializing in agriculture, energy, and policy research, while also expanding business opportunities for local agricultural companies in domestic and international markets.
In particular, the collaboration is expected to enhance the expo’s global competitiveness and the quality of its content by connecting each institution’s ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives and carbon-neutral, energy-transition agendas in agriculture with the expo’s exhibitions and international cooperation programs.
Under the agreement, each organization will cooperate by sharing responsibilities in exhibition content development, academic forums, international cooperation networks, and promotional activities.
The Jeollanam-do International Agriculture Expo will oversee venue infrastructure support, planning and operation of academic events and forums, promotion of partnership programs, and attraction of participants.
The Korea Rural Community Corporation will cooperate in climate-response ESG exhibitions, advisory support for carbon-neutral experience and promotional halls, international exhibitions on K-agricultural engineering technologies, and the operation of smart water management and ICT experience centers.
The Korea Institute of Energy Technology will provide consultation on agricultural energy pavilion content, identify themes and recommend experts for international forums on energy agriculture, connect youth startup programs in energy technology and entrepreneurship, and advise on exhibition content related to future energy fields such as nuclear fusion.
Meanwhile, the Korea Rural Economic Institute will support the development of content for the “Agriculture Connecting the World” pavilion, identify global agricultural policy agendas, assist in hosting academic forums, and help establish international organization networks based on Official Development Assistance (ODA).
The 2027 International Agriculture Expo will be held from October 22 to 31, 2027, for 10 days at the Jeollanam-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services under the theme: “Solutions for the Earth: K-Energy Agriculture.”
The total project budget amounts to KRW 7.8 billion, including KRW 2.1 billion in national funding, KRW 4.9 billion in provincial funding, and KRW 800 million from self-generated resources.
The expo will feature six platforms and nine exhibition, experience, and sales halls centered on future agricultural technologies such as renewable energy and robotics-converged agriculture, precision farming, autonomous agricultural machinery, and youth startup exhibitions.
Through this agreement, local agricultural companies are expected to showcase energy-converged agricultural technologies on a global stage while expanding opportunities for exchange with domestic and international experts and public institutions.
Participating organizations also plan to link their research achievements and policy agendas with the expo’s exhibition and academic programs to establish a foundation for international expansion and strengthen energy transition and global cooperation networks in the agricultural sector.
Following the agreement, the four organizations will establish a partnership cooperation committee and hold regular quarterly meetings. Beginning this month, working-level meetings among the institutions will also be launched to develop concrete implementation plans.
Go Sook-joo, Secretary General of the Jeollanam-do International Agriculture Expo, said, “This agreement will serve as an opportunity for the 2027 International Agriculture Expo to evolve into a future-oriented international platform connecting agriculture, energy, and policy research,” adding, “We will combine the expertise and networks of each institution to prepare an international event that presents the future direction of Korean agriculture.”
