“디지털 정보격차 줄인다”… 전남도, 장애인 정보통신보조기기 신청 접수

전라남도가 장애인의 디지털 정보 접근성과 활용 역량 강화를 위해 정보통신보조기기 보급사업을 본격 추진한다.

전남도는 올해 시각·청각·지체·뇌병변 장애인 등을 대상으로 정보통신보조기기 128종, 총 320여 대를 보급할 계획이라고 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 장애 유형에 적합한 정보통신보조기기 구입비 일부를 지원해 정보 접근권을 확대하고 사회 참여 기회를 높이기 위한 것이다.
지원 대상은 전남에 주소를 둔 등록 장애인과 상이등급 판정을 받은 국가유공자다.

신청 기간은 오는 6월 23일까지며, 신청자는 관련 서류를 갖춰 주민등록지 시군 정보화부서에 방문하거나 우편으로 접수하면 된다. 온라인으로는 정보통신보조기기 누리집에서 신청할 수 있다.
전남도는 접수된 신청자를 대상으로 서류심사와 상담원 방문상담, 전문가 평가 등을 거쳐 오는 7월 16일 최종 보급 대상자를 발표할 예정이다. 결과는 전남광주통합특별시 누리집 등을 통해 공개된다.

보급 품목은 총 128종으로 구성됐다.
시각장애인용은 독서확대기와 점자정보단말기 등 61종, 지체·뇌병변 장애인용은 터치모니터와 특수마우스 등 19종, 청각·언어 장애인용은 의사소통보조기기와 소리증폭기 등 48종이다.
제품별 세부 정보와 지원 내용은 정보통신보조기기 누리집에서 확인할 수 있다.

전남도는 지난해에도 정보통신보조기기 253대를 보급하는 등 장애인의 디지털 이용 환경 개선 사업을 지속 추진해왔다.
홍기주 전남도 스마트정보담당관은 “장애인이 정보통신보조기기 보급사업을 통해 정보 취득 역량을 높이고 사회 참여 기회를 확대하길 기대한다.”며 “통합특별시 출범 이후에도 정보격차 해소를 위한 생활밀착형 지원사업을 지속 확대하겠다.”고 말했다.

“Bridging the Digital Divide” … Jeonnam Province Opens Applications for Assistive Information and Communication Devices for People with Disabilities
Support for More Than 320 Devices Across 128 Categories… Applications Accepted Until June 23 Online and Offline
Jeollanam-do Province has launched its annual assistive information and communication device distribution program aimed at improving digital accessibility and enhancing information utilization for people with disabilities.
The province announced that it plans to distribute more than 320 assistive devices across 128 categories this year for individuals with visual, hearing, physical, and brain lesion disabilities.
The project is designed to support part of the purchase cost of assistive ICT devices tailored to different disability types, thereby expanding access to information and encouraging greater social participation.
Eligible applicants include registered persons with disabilities residing in Jeollanam-do and national merit recipients recognized with disability grades.
Applications will be accepted until June 23. Applicants may submit required documents in person or by mail to the information services department of their local city or county office. Online applications are also available through the Assistive ICT Device website.
Jeonnam Province will conduct document screening, in-home consultations by counselors, and expert evaluations before announcing the final recipients on July 16. Results will be posted on the Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special City website and related platforms.
The devices available under the program include a total of 128 items:
61 devices for the visually impaired, including reading magnifiers and Braille information terminals
19 devices for people with physical and brain lesion disabilities, including touch monitors and specialized computer mice
48 devices for individuals with hearing and speech disabilities, including communication aids and sound amplifiers

Last year, Jeonnam Province distributed 253 assistive ICT devices as part of its ongoing efforts to improve the digital environment for people with disabilities.
Hong Gi-ju, Director of Smart Information at Jeonnam Province, said, “We hope this assistive ICT device program will help people with disabilities improve their access to information and expand opportunities for social participation.” He added, “Even after the launch of the Integrated Special City, we will continue to expand practical, people-centered programs to reduce the digital divide.”
