전라남도가 쌀 소비 촉진과 건강한 식문화 확산을 위해 전국 규모의 ‘제4회 전국 쌀 요리 경연대회’를 개최하고 오는 7월 9일까지 참가자를 모집한다.

이번 대회는 쌀을 활용한 창의적이고 실용적인 레시피를 발굴해 일상 속 쌀 소비문화를 확산하기 위해 마련됐다.
특히 그동안 광주·순천·완도·파주 등 전국 각지 참가자들이 우수한 성과를 거두며 전국 단위 경연대회로 자리매김하고 있다.

참가 대상은 쌀 요리에 관심 있는 누구나 가능하며, 개인 또는 3명 이내 팀 단위로 참가할 수 있다. 출품 요리는 쌀 또는 가루쌀을 30% 이상 활용해야 한다.

참가 희망자는 신청서와 레시피를 작성해 전라남도 여성단체협의회 전자우편(wmjgreen@hanmail.net) 또는 우편(전남 무안군 삼향읍 어진누리길 30, 407호 전라남도 여성단체협의회)으로 제출하면 된다.

대회는 1차 서류심사와 2차 본선 경연으로 진행된다.
1차 서류심사는 7월 10일 실시되며, 본선 진출 10개 팀을 선정한다. 본선 경연은 7월 21일 순천제일대학교 성심관 조리실에서 열린다.
심사는 ▲대중성 ▲조리 용이성 ▲영양 우수성 ▲활용 가능성 ▲창의성 등을 종합 평가해 진행된다.

시상은 대상 1팀 200만 원, 최우수상 1팀 150만 원, 우수상 2팀 각 100만 원, 장려상 6팀 각 70만 원 등 총 970만 원 규모로 이뤄진다.
박상미 전남도 농식품유통과장은 “이번 경연대회를 통해 누구나 쉽게 활용할 수 있는 다양한 쌀 요리가 발굴되길 기대한다.”며 “앞으로도 쌀 소비 확대와 건강한 식문화 조성을 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

전남도는 수상작 레시피를 활용한 홍보영상과 콘텐츠를 제작해 식품업체와 온라인 채널 등에 배포하는 등 쌀 소비문화 확산에도 적극 나설 계획이다.

“Creative Rice Dishes Gather in One Place” … Jeonnam Province to Host National Rice Cooking Contest
Applications Open Until July 9 … Grand Prize of 2 Million Won, Total Prize Pool of 9.7 Million Won
Jeollanam-do Province announced that it will host the 4th National Rice Cooking Contest to promote rice consumption and encourage healthy food culture, with applications open until July 9.
The contest is designed to discover creative and practical recipes using rice while expanding everyday rice consumption culture.
In previous competitions, participants from regions such as Gwangju, Suncheon, Wando, and Paju achieved outstanding results, helping the event grow into a nationwide culinary competition.
Anyone interested in rice cooking may participate, either individually or in teams of up to three members. All submitted dishes must contain at least 30% rice or rice flour.
Applicants must submit an application form and recipe by email to the Jeollanam-do Women’s Association Council at wmjgreen@hanmail.net or by mail to:

The competition will consist of a first-round document screening and a final on-site cooking competition.
The first-round screening will take place on July 10, selecting 10 finalist teams. The final competition will be held on July 21 at the culinary laboratory of Suncheon Jeil University’s Seongsim Hall.
Entries will be evaluated based on popularity, ease of cooking, nutritional value, practicality, and creativity.
Prizes include:
Grand Prize: 2 million won for one team
Excellence Award: 1.5 million won for one team
Outstanding Awards: 1 million won each for two teams
Encouragement Awards: 700,000 won each for six teams
The total prize pool amounts to 9.7 million won.
Park Sang-mi, Director of the Jeollanam-do Food Distribution Division, said, “We hope this contest will lead to the discovery of diverse rice dishes that anyone can easily enjoy and utilize. We will continue working to expand rice consumption and promote a healthier food culture.”
Jeollanam-do also plans to produce promotional videos and content featuring the winning recipes and distribute them through food companies and online channels to further encourage rice consumption in everyday life.
