완도소방서가 코트 위에서도 ‘강한 조직력’을 입증했다.
완도소방서(서장 이민석)는 지난 3월 14일 완도군에서 열린 ‘완도군 테니스 협회장배 대회’에서 현장대응단 김희승 팀장이 이끄는 팀이 우승을 차지했다고 밝혔다.

이번 대회는 지역 테니스 동호인과 소방 가족 간 화합과 친목을 도모하기 위해 마련된 자리로, 조별 리그와 토너먼트를 거치는 치열한 경쟁 속에서 진행됐다. 다양한 팀들이 참가한 가운데 완도소방서 팀은 뛰어난 조직력과 집중력으로 정상에 올랐다.

우승을 이끈 김희승 팀장은 “바쁜 현장 업무 속에서도 동료들과 함께 꾸준히 연습해온 결과가 좋은 성과로 이어졌다.”며 “앞으로도 강한 체력과 팀워크를 바탕으로 시민의 안전을 지키는 데 최선을 다하겠다.”고 소감을 밝혔다.

완도소방서는 이번 성과를 계기로 직원들의 체력 증진과 활기찬 직장문화 조성을 위한 체육 및 동호회 활동을 더욱 확대할 계획이다.
특히 재난 현장에서 요구되는 체력과 협업 능력을 강화하는 데 이러한 활동이 중요한 역할을 한다는 점에서 의미가 크다.

이민석 서장은 “직원들의 건강과 화합은 곧 시민의 생명과 안전을 지키는 힘”이라며 “앞으로도 직원들이 최고의 컨디션으로 현장에 임할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다.”고 강조했다.

Wando Fire Station has once again demonstrated its strong organizational power—this time on the tennis court.
Wando Fire Station (Chief Lee Min-seok) announced that a team led by Kim Hee-seung, head of the Field Response Unit, won first place at the “Wando County Tennis Association President’s Cup Tournament” held in Wando County on March 14.
The tournament was organized to promote harmony and fellowship among local tennis enthusiasts and firefighting families. Participants competed fiercely through group-stage matches and knockout rounds. Among numerous teams, the Wando Fire Station team stood out with exceptional teamwork and focus, ultimately claiming the championship.
Team leader Kim Hee-seung said, “Despite our demanding field duties, we consistently trained together as a team, and that effort led to this great result,” adding, “We will continue to protect citizens’ safety with strong physical fitness and teamwork.”
Following this achievement, Wando Fire Station plans to further expand sports and club activities to enhance employees’ physical fitness and foster a vibrant workplace culture. Such activities are particularly meaningful as they help strengthen the physical endurance and collaboration required in emergency response situations.
Chief Lee Min-seok emphasized, “The health and unity of our personnel directly translate into the power to protect citizens’ lives and safety,” adding, “We will continue to actively support our staff so they can perform at their best in the field.”
