땅끝 해남의 맛과 멋이 한데 어우러진 ‘2025 해남미남축제’가 성황리에 막을 내렸다.

10월 31일부터 11월 2일까지 사흘간 두륜산 도립공원 일원에서 열린 이번 축제에는 연인원 24만 3,000여 명이 다녀가며, 가을빛에 물든 해남을 ‘맛과 멋의 도시’로 물들였다.

■ 해남의 맛·멋·흥, 가을축제장 가득 메워
‘맛있어서 미남(味南), 멋있어서 미남(美南)’이라는 슬로건 아래 열린 해남미남축제는 해남의 대표 농수특산물과 이를 활용한 다양한 먹거리로 가득했다.

축제 첫날인 31일에는 해남 14개 읍·면 주민들이 참여한 ‘특산물 뽐내기 퍼레이드’와 ‘해남8미(八味) 선포 퍼포먼스’, 그리고 ‘미남트롯축하쇼’가 이어지며 흥겨운 축제의 서막을 열었다.

■ 해남의 풍요로움 담은 ‘515 김치 비빔’·‘떡국 나눔’ 대성황
특히 관광객 250명이 참여한 ‘515 김치 비빔’과 ‘2025 떡국 나눔’은 축제의 백미였다.

해남 515개 마을을 상징하는 해남배추로 만든 김치와, 해남쌀·해남김으로 빚은 떡국을 함께 나누며 해남 농수특산물의 우수성을 전국에 알렸다.

■ 해남8미 밥상·미남푸드관·주전부리관 ‘발 디딜 틈 없어’
해남8미로 선정된 음식들을 한 자리에서 즐길 수 있는 ‘해남밥상관’, 지역 음식점이 운영한 ‘미남푸드관’, 특산물을 활용한 간식이 가득한 ‘주전부리관’에는 발 디딜 틈 없이 인파가 몰렸다.

풍요로운 해남의 땅과 바다에서 자란 쌀·배추·고구마·김 등 명품 특산물과 가공식품을 직접 구매하려는 관광객들로 판매 부스 곳곳에 긴 줄이 이어졌다.

■ ‘해남김 주제관’·‘국화향연장’… 오감으로 즐기는 가을 정취
올해는 해남 청정바다에서 자란 김 산업의 현황과 수출 과정을 소개하는 ‘김 주제관’**이 새롭게 마련돼 큰 관심을 끌었다.

축제장 인근에는 2만 8,000여 점의 국화로 장식된 ‘국화향연장’이 조성돼, 낮에는 가을 정취를, 밤에는 조명으로 빚은 화려한 야경을 선사했다.

■ “안전·친환경·친절 3박자 축제”… 단 한 건의 사고도 없어
해남군은 ‘안전이 곧 서비스’라는 방침 아래 축제 전 기간 철저한 안전관리를 실시했다.

소방·경찰 등 유관기관과 긴밀히 협조해 단 한 건의 안전사고 없이 축제를 마무리, 방문객들로부터 높은 호응을 얻었다.

또한 축제장 내 모든 음식점에서 일회용품 대신 다회용기 사용을 의무화, 쓰레기 발생을 최소화하며 ‘친환경 축제’로 자리매김했다.

■ 명현관 군수 “가장 안전하고 깨끗한 축제… 내년엔 더 풍성하게”
명현관 해남군수는 “해남미남축제가 많은 관광객이 찾은 가운데서도 가장 안전하고, 깨끗하며, 친절한 축제로 마무리됐다”며, “내년에는 전국의 모든 국민들께 더욱 건강하고 풍요로운 해남의 맛과 멋을 전할 수 있는 축제를 준비하겠다.”고 밝혔다.

The 2025 Haenam Mi-Nam Festival, where the tastes and charms of Haenam came together in full splendor, successfully wrapped up after three days of vibrant celebration.
Held from October 31 to November 2 at Duryunsan Provincial Park, the festival attracted 243,000 visitors, transforming the autumn scenery of Haenam into a city of taste and style.
■ Haenam’s Taste, Style, and Joy Filled the Autumn Festival Grounds
Under the slogan “Deliciously Mi-Nam (味南), Beautifully Mi-Nam (美南)”, the festival overflowed with Haenam’s signature agricultural and marine products and a wide array of dishes made from them.
On the opening day, residents from Haenam’s 14 towns and villages participated in the “Specialty Parade”, the “Haenam Eight Delicacies Proclamation Performance”, and the “Mi-Nam Trot Celebration Show”, marking a festive start to the event.
■ ‘515 Kimchi Mixing’ and ‘Tteokguk Sharing’ Highlight Haenam’s Abundance
A major highlight was the “515 Kimchi Mixing” event, joined by 250 participants, and the “2025 Tteokguk (Rice Cake Soup) Sharing” program.
These featured kimchi made from Haenam cabbage representing its 515 villages, and tteokguk made with Haenam rice and seaweed, sharing the excellence of Haenam’s agricultural and marine products with visitors nationwide.
■ Packed to the Brim: Haenam Eight Delicacies Pavilion, Mi-Nam Food Hall, and Snack Zone
Visitors flocked to the “Haenam Dining Pavilion” featuring the Eight Haenam Delicacies, the “Mi-Nam Food Hall” run by local restaurants, and the “Snack Zone” filled with treats made from local specialties.
Long lines formed at booths where visitors could buy premium local products such as rice, cabbage, sweet potatoes, and seaweed, all grown in Haenam’s rich fields and clean seas.
■ ‘Haenam Seaweed Exhibition Hall’ and ‘Chrysanthemum Garden’—A Feast for the Senses
This year, a newly established “Seaweed Exhibition Hall” drew great attention by showcasing the production and export process of seaweed harvested from Haenam’s pristine coastal waters.
Nearby, the “Chrysanthemum Garden”, adorned with 28,000 chrysanthemum displays, offered the serene beauty of autumn by day and dazzling illuminated scenery by night.
■ “Safe, Eco-Friendly, and Hospitable”—A Festival Without a Single Accident
Under the motto “Safety is Service”, Haenam County implemented thorough safety management throughout the festival.
With strong cooperation from the fire department, police, and other agencies, the event concluded without a single accident, earning high praise from visitors.
All food vendors were also required to use reusable containers instead of disposables, minimizing waste and establishing the festival as an eco-friendly event.
