“농업·유통·금융 31년 현장 베테랑 전면에”

옥천농협이 농업·유통·금융 전 분야를 두루 거친 농업경제 전문가를 새 상임이사로 선출하며 조직 혁신과 지속 성장의 닻을 올렸다.

옥천농협은 지난 2026년 1월 30일, 제57기 정기총회를 열고 이기선 씨를 상임이사로 선출, 본격적인 새 집행부 출범을 공식화했다.

이기선 상임이사는 옥천면 출신으로, 옥천중학교와 해남고등학교를 졸업한 뒤 서울시립대학교를 나왔다. 이후 농협중앙회에서 31년간 재직하며 전무이사(임원)와 M급(직원)으로 근무, 농업·유통·금융 전반을 아우르는 폭넓은 실무 경험을 쌓아온 정통 농협 전문가다.

특히 농협중앙회 재직 기간 중 농업경제 부문에서 21년, 금융(은행) 부문에서 9년을 근무하며 본부와 현장을 모두 경험했다. 유통판매장과 농업경제본부 주요부서, 유통계열사뿐만 아니라 구리시지부·고흥군지부 등 지역 금융 현장을 두루 거치며 실무형 경영 역량을 축적했다.

이후 ㈜농협유통 전무이사로 재직하며 대형 유통 현장의 경영 전반을 총괄, 조직 운영과 사업 확장 능력을 입증했다는 평가를 받는다.

이 상임이사는 취임 인사를 통해 “그동안 쌓아온 다양한 현장 경험과 업무 역량을 바탕으로, 지역사회와 함께 성장하는 ‘100년 옥천농협’의 미래를 새롭게 설계하고 실행하는 데 모든 열정을 쏟겠다.”며 강한 의지를 밝혔다.

윤치영 옥천농협 조합장도 “농업경제와 금융을 동시에 경험한 이기선 상임이사의 취임은 조합의 사업 경쟁력 강화와 지속 가능한 성장 기반을 다지는 중요한 전환점이 될 것”이라며 기대감을 나타냈다.

이번 상임이사 선출을 계기로 옥천농협은 경제사업과 금융사업의 균형 성장, 조합원 소득 증대, 지역 밀착형 농협 구현에 더욱 속도를 낼 것으로 전망된다.

Okcheon Nonghyup Appoints Lee Gi-seon as Standing Director… New Executive Leadership for a ‘100-Year Nonghyup’
Okcheon Nonghyup has set its course toward organizational innovation and sustainable growth by appointing a seasoned agricultural economics expert with extensive experience across agriculture, distribution, and finance as its new Standing Director.
On January 30, 2026, Okcheon Nonghyup held its 57th General Assembly, during which Lee Gi-seon was elected as Standing Director, officially marking the launch of a new executive leadership team.
Director Lee is a native of Okcheon-myeon. He graduated from Okcheon Middle School and Haenam High School before earning his degree from the University of Seoul. He then served for 31 years at the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (NACF), working both as an executive director and an M-level staff member, building broad and in-depth expertise across agriculture, distribution, and financial services as a veteran Nonghyup professional.
During his tenure at NACF, Lee spent 21 years in the agricultural and economic sectors and 9 years in the financial (banking) sector, gaining experience at both headquarters and frontline operations. His career includes work at distribution outlets, key departments within the Agricultural Economics Division, distribution affiliates, as well as regional banking branches such as Guri and Goheung, where he developed strong, field-oriented management capabilities.
He later served as Executive Director of Nonghyup Distribution Co., Ltd., overseeing overall management of large-scale retail and distribution operations, earning recognition for his leadership in organizational management and business expansion.
In his inaugural remarks, Director Lee stated,
“Drawing on the diverse on-site experience and professional capabilities I have accumulated over the years, I will devote all my energy to designing and executing a new future for Okcheon Nonghyup as a ‘100-year cooperative’ that grows together with the local community.”
Okcheon Nonghyup President Yoon Chi-young also expressed confidence, saying,
“The appointment of Standing Director Lee Gi-seon, who brings extensive experience in both agricultural economics and finance, will serve as a critical turning point in strengthening the cooperative’s business competitiveness and establishing a foundation for sustainable growth.”
With this appointment, Okcheon Nonghyup is expected to accelerate efforts toward balanced growth between economic and financial businesses, increased income for its members, and the realization of a community-centered cooperative closely connected to the region.
