“반세기 지켜온 치안의 뿌리, 다시 뛴다”… 해남재향경우회, 50년 역사 위에 ‘새 도약’ 선언

전남 해남재향경우회가 반세기의 역사를 발판으로 새로운 도약을 선언했다.

해남재향경우회는 해남경찰서 4층 두륜관에서 제50차 정기총회 및 회장 이·취임식을 성대히 개최했다고 밝혔다. 이날 행사에는 경우회원과 자문위원, 박미영 해남경찰서장을 비롯한 경찰 관계자 등 70여 명이 참석해 뜻깊은 자리를 함께했다.

행사는 국민의례를 시작으로 홍보영상 상영, 표창장 수여, 경우회장 이·취임식, 경찰서장 축사, 자문위원장 격려사, 경찰가 제창 순으로 진행되며 엄숙하면서도 화합의 분위기 속에 이어졌다.

최종용 전 경우회장은 이임사를 통해 “회원 여러분의 성원 덕분에 임기를 무사히 마칠 수 있었다”며 “앞으로도 경우회의 지속적인 발전을 위해 변함없는 관심과 협력을 부탁드린다.”고 밝혔다.

새롭게 취임한 박성태 회장은 “선배 회원들의 헌신과 업적을 이어받아 경우회의 단합과 화합을 더욱 공고히 하겠다.”며 “지역사회 안전과 발전을 위해 경찰과 긴밀히 협력하는 든든한 동반자가 되겠다.”고 강조했다.

박미영 해남경찰서장은 축사를 통해 “경우회원들의 오랜 경험과 헌신이 지역 치안 유지에 큰 힘이 되고 있다”며 “앞으로도 경찰과 경우회가 함께 지역사회의 안전을 지키는 중심축 역할을 해주길 기대한다.”고 말했다.

김종휘 자문위원장 역시 “경우회는 지역사회와 경찰을 잇는 중요한 가교 역할을 수행해 왔다”며 “앞으로도 더욱 단단한 협력체계를 통해 지역 공동체 발전에 기여해 달라”고 당부했다.
이번 정기총회는 50년간 이어져 온 경우회의 역사와 전통을 되새기는 동시에, 회원 간 결속을 강화하고 미래 비전을 공유하는 자리로 평가된다.

해남재향경우회는 향후에도 경찰과의 협력을 기반으로 지역 치안 안정과 공동체 발전에 기여하는 역할을 지속적으로 확대해 나갈 방침이다.

The Haenam Retired Police Association in Jeollanam-do has declared a new leap forward, building on its half-century legacy.
The association announced that it successfully held its 50th General Assembly and presidential inauguration ceremony at the Duryeongwan Hall on the 4th floor of the Haenam Police Station. About 70 attendees, including members, advisory committee members, and Haenam Police Chief Park Mi-young, as well as senior police officials, were present to mark the occasion.
The event proceeded in a solemn yet harmonious atmosphere, beginning with the national ceremony, followed by a promotional video screening, commendation awards, the presidential transition ceremony, congratulatory remarks by the police chief, a message of encouragement from the advisory committee chair, and the singing of the police anthem.
Outgoing President Choi Jong-yong expressed his gratitude in his farewell speech, saying, “Thanks to the support of our members, I was able to complete my term safely,” and added, “I ask for your continued interest and cooperation for the ongoing development of the association.”
Newly inaugurated President Park Seong-tae stated in his inaugural address, “I will carry forward the dedication and achievements of our predecessors to further strengthen unity and harmony within the association,” adding, “We will serve as a strong partner working closely with the police for the safety and development of the local community.”
Police Chief Park Mi-young, in her congratulatory speech, said, “The experience and dedication of the association’s members have been a great asset to maintaining public safety in the region,” and expressed hope that “the police and the association will continue to serve as a central pillar in safeguarding the community.”
Advisory Committee Chair Kim Jong-hwi also praised the members’ efforts, stating, “The association has played an important role as a bridge between the police and the community,” and urged continued contributions to local development through stronger cooperation.
This general assembly was evaluated as a meaningful occasion to reflect on the association’s 50-year history and tradition, while strengthening member unity and sharing a vision for the future.
The Haenam Retired Police Association plans to further expand its role in contributing to regional public safety and community development through continued cooperation with the police.
