임동곤 소방정이 제22대 해남소방서장으로 취임해 부서별 주요 현안을 점검하며 공식 업무를 시작했다.

전남광주통합특별시 해남소방서는 10월 7일 임동곤 신임 서장이 취임했다고 밝혔다. 임 서장은 별도의 취임식 없이 각 과와 부서를 직접 방문해 직원들과 인사를 나누고 업무 현안을 살폈다.

임 서장은 1995년 1월 소방공무원으로 첫발을 내디딘 뒤 영암소방서 대응구조과장, 목포소방서 소방행정과장, 전남소방본부 현장대응팀장과 예방안전팀장 등을 역임했다. 전남광주통합특별시 출범 이후에는 전남권역부본부 예방안전과장을 맡아 재난 대응과 예방안전 업무를 수행했다.

해남소방서는 임 서장이 소통을 바탕으로 상호 배려와 존중의 조직문화 조성에 힘써 왔으며, 합리적인 업무처리와 현장지휘 능력을 갖추고 있다고 소개했다.

임 서장은 “군민의 생명과 재산을 지키는 것이 소방의 가장 중요한 사명”이라며 “현장에 강한 소방, 직원 간 소통과 배려가 살아있는 조직을 만들고 모두가 안심할 수 있는 안전한 해남을 만드는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

해남소방서는 앞으로 현장 중심의 재난 대응 역량을 강화하고, 선제적인 화재 예방과 안전문화 확산을 통해 군민이 체감할 수 있는 소방안전 서비스를 제공할 방침이다.

Im Dong-gon, a senior fire officer, has taken office as the 22nd chief of Haenam Fire Station, beginning his official duties with a review of key issues across its departments.
Haenam Fire Station, under the Jeonnam–Gwangju Integrated Special City administration, announced that Im assumed office on October 7. Instead of holding a formal inauguration ceremony, he visited each division and department to greet staff and review current operational issues.
Im began his firefighting career in January 1995. He subsequently served as head of the Emergency Response and Rescue Division at Yeongam Fire Station, head of the Fire Administration Division at Mokpo Fire Station, and leader of both the Field Response Team and the Prevention and Safety Team at Jeonnam Fire Headquarters. Following the establishment of Jeonnam–Gwangju Integrated Special City, he headed the Prevention and Safety Division at the Jeonnam Regional Deputy Headquarters, overseeing emergency response and preventive safety work.
Haenam Fire Station described Im as a leader who has worked to build an organizational culture rooted in communication, consideration and mutual respect, with strengths in sound administration and on-scene command.
“Protecting residents’ lives and property is the fire service’s most important mission,” Im said. “I will do my utmost to build a fire service with strong field capabilities and an organization where communication and consideration among staff thrive, while making Haenam a safe place where everyone can feel secure.”
Haenam Fire Station plans to strengthen its field-based emergency response capabilities, promote proactive fire prevention and expand public safety awareness to deliver services that make a tangible difference to residents.
