해남군이 오는 28일 오후 7시, 해남문화예술회관 대공연장에서 창작뮤지컬 ‘생텍쥐페리’ 공연을 선보인다.
이번 공연은 올해 공연예술 지역유통지원사업 공모에 선정된 작품으로, 2020년 대구국제뮤지컬페스티벌(DIMF) 창작지원작 선정과 제주 해비치 아트페스티벌 전 장르 통합 최우수작에 오르는 등 작품성과 대중성을 모두 인정받은 웰메이드 뮤지컬이다.
■ 어린왕자의 탄생 비밀… “생텍쥐페리의 내면을 만난다.”
뮤지컬은 ‘어린왕자’의 작가 앙투안 드 생텍쥐페리가 어린왕자와 주변 인물들을 통해 자신의 삶을 성찰하고, 진정으로 소중한 가치가 무엇인지 깨달아가는 과정을 서정적으로 풀어낸다.
세계적 명작 ‘어린왕자’가 어떤 계기로 탄생했는지 그 뒷이야기를 감동적으로 담아낸 것이 특징이다.
■ 비행기 날아오르고 1인 오케스트라가 이끄는 무대
무대 연출도 돋보인다.
비행기가 실제로 하늘을 날아오르는 무대장치, 입체 영상을 통한 환상적 비주얼, 그리고 극 전체를 이끄는 1인 오케스트라의 라이브 연주까지 더해져 남녀노소 모두가 몰입할 수 있는 풍성한 공연을 예고한다.
아이들에게는 동화적 상상력을, 어른들에게는 어린 시절에 대한 향수와 울림을 전한다.
■ 27~28일 ‘어린왕자 체험존·마술쇼’… 부대행사 4회 운영
공연에 앞서 27~28일 양일간, 해남문화예술회관 다목적실에서는 어린왕자 체험존, 마술쇼 등 부대행사가 오전·오후로 나뉘어 총 4회 운영된다.

“The Little Prince Comes to Haenam!”… Creative Musical Saint-Exupéry to Be Staged on the 28th
Haenam-gun will present the creative musical Saint-Exupéry at 7 p.m. on the 28th at the Grand Theater of the Haenam Culture & Arts Center.
This performance was selected for this year’s Performing Arts Regional Distribution Support Program. It has already proven both its artistic merit and popularity, having been chosen as a creative support work at the 2020 Daegu International Musical Festival (DIMF) and named the top prize winner across all genres at the Jeju Haevichi Art Festival Showcase.
■ The Little Prince Unveiled… “Meeting the Inner World of Saint-Exupéry”
The musical depicts how Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, author of The Little Prince, reflects upon his own life through the Little Prince and the characters around him, gradually discovering what is truly precious.
It is especially notable for the emotional storytelling that unravels the behind-the-scenes history of how the globally beloved The Little Prince came to be written.
■ A Plane Takes Flight and a One-Person Orchestra Leads the Stage
The stage direction is another highlight.
Audiences can expect an immersive experience with a plane flying across the stage, mesmerizing three-dimensional projection effects, and a one-person orchestra providing dynamic live music throughout the show.
The performance offers fairytale-like imagination for children and nostalgic reflections for adults.
■ Side Events on the 27th–28th: Little Prince Experience Zone & Magic Show
On November 27–28, the multipurpose room of the Haenam Culture & Arts Center will host various side events, including a Little Prince experience zone and a magic show. Programs will run four times in total—morning and afternoon sessions over two days.
