전라남도진도교육지원청(교육장 김미)은 13일, ‘2026학년도 대학수학능력시험 수험생 응원의 날’을 운영하며 지역사회가 함께하는 따뜻한 격려의 장을 마련했다.
이번 행사는 ‘내고장 학교보내기’ 사업의 일환으로 추진돼, 수험생들이 심리적 안정을 유지하고 지역사회의 응원을 체감할 수 있도록 도왔다.
■ 새벽부터 힘 실은 응원… “그동안의 노력이 결실 맺길”
이날 김미 교육장과 교육지원청 교직원들은 새벽 일찍 진도고등학교 정문을 찾아 수험생들을 직접 맞이하며 진심 어린 응원을 전했다.
김 교육장은 앞서 11일에도 진도고를 방문해 직접 준비한 ‘수험생 응원꾸러미’를 전달하며 “그동안 쌓아온 노력이 빛을 발하는 하루가 되길 바란다.”고 격려했다.
또한 관내 고등학교 교실을 순회하며 수험생 한 명 한 명에게 응원의 메시지를 건네는 등 촘촘한 현장 격려를 이어갔다.
특히 조도 등 섬 지역 학교 학생들에게도 직접 격려 물품을 전달해 모든 수험생이 소외 없이 응원을 받을 수 있도록 했다.
■ 학생자치회가 주도한 응원… 지역공동체 교육의 힘
이번 수능 응원 프로그램의 또 다른 특징은 각 학교 학생자치회가 직접 기획·운영했다는 점이다.
학생들은 응원 메시지 카드 만들기, 등굣길 응원 이벤트 등 다양한 활동을 펼치며 또래 친구들의 마음을 모아 수험생을 응원했다.
이를 통해 학생 스스로 만들어가는 공동체 문화가 자리 잡는 계기가 됐다는 평가다.

■ “힘이 났다”… 학생들, 진심 어린 응원에 감사
조도고 3학년 김○○ 학생은 “교육장님께서 직접 와서 응원해 주시는 모습을 보니 큰 힘이 됐다”며 “마지막까지 최선을 다해 좋은 결과로 보답하고 싶다”고 소감을 밝혔다.
또 다른 학생은 “학교에 걸린 응원 현수막을 보니 지역의 따뜻한 관심을 느껴 마음이 든든했다”고 말했다.
■ “내고장 교육공동체가 학생들의 버팀목”
김미 교육장은 “지역이 함께 만들어가는 ‘내 고장 교육공동체’의 힘이 학생들에게 큰 버팀목이 되고 있다.”며 “앞으로도 학생들이 자기 지역에서 마음껏 꿈을 펼치고 성장할 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다.”고 강조했다.

“A Community-Raised Student, Cheered to the Very End!”
Jindo Office of Education Continues Warm Support on ‘2026 CSAT Encouragement Day’
The Jindo Office of Education in Jeollanam-do (Superintendent Kim Mi) held the “2026 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) Encouragement Day” on the 13th, creating a warm and supportive atmosphere with the local community.
The event was organized as part of the “Study in My Hometown” initiative, designed to help students maintain emotional stability and feel the full support of their community on exam day.
■ Cheering from dawn: “May your hard work bear fruit”
Superintendent Kim Mi and staff members visited Jindo High School early in the morning to greet students heading to the test site, offering heartfelt words of encouragement.
On November 11, Superintendent Kim had also visited the school to deliver specially prepared “CSAT Support Packages”, expressing her hope that “the efforts you’ve built up over the years will shine today.”
She continued her on-site support by visiting classrooms across local high schools and offering personal messages of encouragement to each student.
In particular, she personally delivered gift packages to students in island-area schools such as Jodo, ensuring that no student was left out.
■ Student councils take the lead… A demonstration of community-based education
A notable feature of this year’s support program was the active leadership of student councils in each school.
Students created encouragement cards, organized morning cheering events, and carried out other activities that gathered the heartfelt support of their peers.
The initiative is considered a meaningful example of students building their own school community culture.
■ “It gave me strength”… Students express gratitude
Kim ○○, a third-year student at Jodo High School, said,
“Having the superintendent come all the way here to support us gave me great strength. I want to do my best until the end and achieve good results.”
Another student shared,
“The support banner hung by the Office of Education made me feel the warm care and encouragement from many people. It truly reassured me.”
■ “A hometown education community that stands firmly behind our students”
Superintendent Kim Mi stated,
“The strength of our ‘local education community’, built together with the region, has become a solid support for our students,” adding,
“We will continue to provide various forms of assistance so that every student can dream and grow right here in their hometown.”
