농협진도군지부(지부장 황지연)는 지난 11월 11일 ‘농업인의 날’을 맞아 진도교육지원청과 진도초등학교가 함께하는 ‘농심천심(農心天心) 아침밥 먹기 캠페인’을 실시했다.

이번 행사는 ‘농심천심운동’의 일환으로, 농부의 마음이 곧 하늘의 뜻이라는 의미를 담아 쌀 소비 촉진과 지역사회 공헌을 실천하기 위해 마련됐다.

이날 캠페인에는 진도초등학교 학생·교사·농협 임직원 등 700여 명이 참여해 따뜻한 아침밥과 함께 가래떡과 음료를 나누며 아침식사의 중요성과 우리 쌀의 소중함을 되새겼다.

황지연 지부장은 “한 숟가락의 밥, 한 줄기 가래떡 안에는 농부의 땀과 마음이 담겨 있다.”며 “아이들이 아침밥을 통해 건강한 하루를 시작하고, 우리 쌀의 가치를 자연스럽게 배워나가길 바란다.”고 전했다.

농협은 매년 11월 11일 ‘농업인의 날’과 ‘가래떡 데이’를 맞아 지역 초등학교와 함께하는 체험 행사를 이어오고 있으며, 우리 쌀 소비 촉진과 건강한 식습관 확산을 위한 교육·홍보 활동을 지속적으로 추진할 계획이다.

“Sharing a Bowl of Rice, Sharing a Farmer’s Heart”
Nonghyup Jindo Branch Holds ‘Nongshim Cheonsim’ Breakfast Campaign
The Nonghyup Jindo Branch (Head: Hwang Ji-yeon) held the “Nongshim Cheonsim (農心天心) Breakfast Campaign” on November 11, in celebration of Farmers’ Day, together with the Jindo Office of Education and Jindo Elementary School.
The event was part of the “Nongshim Cheonsim Movement,” which conveys the belief that “a farmer’s heart reflects the will of heaven.” It aimed to promote rice consumption and contribute to the local community.
Around 700 students, teachers, and Nonghyup employees participated in the campaign, sharing warm breakfasts along with garaetteok (Korean rice cake sticks) and drinks, while learning about the importance of breakfast and the value of Korean rice.
Hwang Ji-yeon, head of the Jindo Branch, remarked, “Every spoonful of rice and every piece of garaetteok holds the sweat and heart of our farmers. I hope our children begin their day with a healthy breakfast and naturally learn the value of Korean rice.”
Nonghyup has been hosting similar experiential events each year on Farmers’ Day (November 11), also known as Garaetteok Day, and plans to continue promoting rice consumption and healthy eating habits through education and public awareness programs.
