진도소방서(서장 김재출)는 겨울철 화재 발생 위험이 높아지는 시기에 군민들의 자율적인 안전의식 확산을 위해 11월 7일 진도군청 앞 철마공원에서 ‘불조심 강조의 달’ 홍보 캠페인을 실시했다.
이번 캠페인은 화재 예방의 중요성을 군민 스스로 인식하고, 일상 속에서 실천 가능한 안전 행동요령을 확산하기 위해 마련됐다.
행사에는 소방공무원 30명, 의용소방대원 180명, 경찰 3명 등 총 213명이 참여했다.
특히 이날은 지휘차·펌프차·구급차 등이 참여한 소방차 퍼레이드가 철마공원에서 아리랑사거리 구간까지 진행되어 군민들의 눈길을 끌었다.
참가자들은 전단지 배부, 현수막 게시, 가두방송 등을 통해 주택용 소방시설 설치, 난방기구 안전사용, 부주의 화재 예방 등을 적극 홍보했다.
김재출 진도소방서장은 “내 가족과 이웃의 안전은 내가 지킨다는 마음으로 군민 모두가 화재 예방에 동참해주시길 바란다.”며 “진도소방서도 군민들이 안심하고 생활할 수 있는 안전한 진도를 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다.”고 밝혔다.

Jindo Fire Station Conducts Fire Prevention Campaign
The Jindo Fire Station (Chief Kim Jae-chul) carried out a “Fire Prevention Emphasis Month” promotional campaign on November 7 at Cheolma Park in front of Jindo County Office, aiming to enhance citizens’ voluntary safety awareness during the winter fire-risk season.
The campaign was organized to encourage residents to recognize the importance of fire prevention and to promote practical safety measures that can be applied in daily life.
A total of 213 participants took part in the event, including 30 firefighters, 180 volunteer firefighters, and 3 police officers.
In particular, a fire engine parade featuring command vehicles, pump trucks, and ambulances proceeded from Cheolma Park to Arirang Intersection, attracting the attention of local residents. Participants also distributed leaflets, displayed banners, and conducted roadside broadcasting to actively promote the installation of residential fire safety equipment, safe use of heating devices, and prevention of accidental fires.
Chief Kim Jae-chul of the Jindo Fire Station stated,
“I hope that all residents will participate in fire prevention with the mindset that they are protecting the safety of their own family and neighbors,” adding, “The Jindo Fire Station will continue to do its best to create a safe community where residents can live with peace of mind.”
