해남군은 3일 정례회의에 앞서 지역 현안 과제 점검과 향후 계획 논의를 위해 파크골프장 조성 현황을 점검했다.
명현관 군수는 이날 회의에서 “파크골프의 인기가 높아지면서 군민들의 건강과 힐링에 큰 도움을 주고 있다.”며, “삼산면 스포츠파크 내 잔여 부지에 추가 조성 가능성을 적극 검토하라”고 지시했다.
해남군 내 파크골프장은 2021년 개장한 삼산 파크골프장을 시작으로, 서부권 산이 골프장, 남부권 송지 골프장 등 3개소가 운영 중이며, 총 10개 클럽 1,120명의 회원이 활동하고 있다.
군은 동부권(옥천, 계곡) 27홀, 중부권 화산 9홀, 서부권 화원 18홀 등 3개소를 추가 조성 중이며, 스포츠파크 내 27홀 규모 파크골프장과 서부권 18홀 이상 추가 건립이 완료되면 해남 관내 파크골프장은 총 8개소, 153홀 규모로 확대될 전망이다.
명 군수는 “스포츠파크 내 파크골프장이 들어서면 대규모 대회 개최가 가능해 전국대회 유치 등 스포츠마케팅 효과도 기대된다.”며, “지난 LPGA대회 성공 개최와 해남미남축제의 성황이 지역경제 활성화에 큰 계기가 됐다”고 말했다.
아울러 명 군수는 AI 3강국 국정과제 대응도 강조했다.
경주 APEC을 통해 엔비디아가 26만 장 GPU를 한국에 우선 공급함에 따라, 정부의 국가AI컴퓨팅센터 구축 등 사업이 빠르게 진행될 것으로 전망된다.
명 군수는 “해남에서 일어나고 있는 변화는 지역을 넘어 대한민국 미래를 좌우할 중대한 사업”이라며, “박지원 국회의원, 김영록 전남도지사와 긴밀히 협력해 해남이 AI 3강국 국정과제의 출발점이 될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”고 밝혔다.

“Expansion of Park Golf Courses Boosts Citizen Health and Healing… Haenam to Become a Key Hub in Korea’s AI Triumvirate”
Haenam County reviewed the status of park golf course development and discussed future plans during a meeting ahead of the regular session on the 3rd.
County Governor Myung Hyun-kwan stated at the meeting, “The growing popularity of park golf has greatly contributed to the health and well-being of our citizens,” adding, “Please actively explore the possibility of adding more courses on the remaining land within the Sports Park in Samsan-myeon.”
Park golf courses in Haenam currently include the Samsan Park Golf Course, opened in 2021, the San-i Golf Course in the western region, and the Songji Golf Course in the southern region. A total of 10 clubs with 1,120 members are currently active in these locations.
The county is in the process of adding three more courses: a 27-hole course in the eastern region (Okcheon, Gyegok), a 9-hole course in the central region (Hwasan), and an 18-hole course in the western region (Hwawon). Once the 27-hole course in the Sports Park and the additional 18-hole course in the western region are completed, Haenam will have a total of eight park golf courses with 153 holes.
Governor Myung emphasized, “With the addition of park golf courses in the Sports Park, large-scale tournaments will be possible, creating opportunities to host national competitions and promoting sports marketing.” He added, “The successful hosting of the LPGA tournament and the thriving Haenam Beauty Festival have significantly contributed to revitalizing the local economy.”
In addition, Governor Myung highlighted the county’s role in advancing Korea’s AI Triumvirate national initiatives.
Following the APEC meeting in Gyeongju, NVIDIA has agreed to prioritize the supply of 260,000 GPUs to Korea, accelerating projects such as the government’s National AI Computing Center.
Governor Myung stated, “The transformations occurring in Haenam are major projects that will influence the future of not only our region but the entire nation,” and added, “We will work closely with National Assembly member Park Ji-won and Jeonnam Governor Kim Young-rok to ensure Haenam becomes the starting point for realizing the national AI Triumvirate initiatives.”
