해남의 가을이 ‘맛’과 ‘멋’으로 물들었다.
해남의 대표 농수특산물과 향토 먹거리가 한자리에 모인 ‘2025 해남미남(味南)축제’가 10월의 마지막 날 화려한 막을 올리며 전국 관광객들의 발길을 사로잡았다.
축제는 10월 31일부터 11월 2일까지 두륜산 도립공원 일원에서 펼쳐지며, 해남 14개 읍·면 주민들이 참여한 특산물 뽐내기 퍼레이드와 ‘해남8미(八味)’ 선포 퍼포먼스로 개막의 포문을 열었다.
옥천면의 쌀, 송지면의 김, 문내·화원면의 배추, 산이면의 고구마 등 각 지역의 대표 농산물이 개성 있는 퍼포먼스로 무대를 수놓았고, 홀로그램으로 진행된 해남8미 선포식에서는 해남의 대표 진미의 유래와 매력을 알리는 시간이 마련됐다.
이번 축제에서는 고향사랑기부금과 장학기금 기탁도 이어졌다.
김영태 전 재광화산향우회장이 500만 원, 진경영 재목해남향우회장이 777만 원을 기탁했으며, 해남농협과 진도농협은 상호기부를 통해 500만 원을 전달했다.
해남군산림조합은 올해로 4년째 장학기금을 이어가며 1,000만 원을 기탁했다.
개막식 후에는 트로트 가수 손태진·김수찬·미스김·정미애 등이 출연한 ‘미남 트롯 축하쇼’가 열려 관객들의 환호 속에 열정 가득한 가을밤을 만들었다.
행사장 내에는 해남8미를 한 상에 담은 ‘해남 밥상관’, 지역 음식점들이 참여한 ‘미남 푸드관’, 특산물 간식을 선보이는 ‘주전부리관’ 등 먹거리 공간이 가득 차, 방문객들이 해남의 진미를 맛보는 시간으로 북적였다.
올해 축제의 주제관은 ‘해남김’. 김 관련 전시와 함께 해남8미 속 재료로 ‘나만의 김밥’을 만드는 미남김밥 팝업존이 운영되며, 해남군수협은 조미김 등 김 가공품을 50% 할인 판매하는 ‘해남김 반값전’을 진행한다.
또한 관광객 250명이 참여하는 ‘515 김치비빔’(11월 1일 14시), 해남쌀과 김으로 만든 ‘김 떡국 나눔’(11월 2일 16시), 추억의 구이터, 막걸리칵테일관 등 다양한 체험 프로그램도 마련됐다.
11월 1일 토요일 밤에는 가을 정취를 더하는 ‘낭만콘서트’가 열린다.
감성 어쿠스틱 그룹 스탠딩에그와 래퍼 비오(BE’O)가 무대에 올라 깊어가는 가을의 감성을 선사할 예정이다.
이밖에도 ‘평생학습축제’, ‘국화존 어린이 놀이터’, ‘땅끝 국화향연’ 등이 함께 열리며 축제장은 온통 가을빛으로 물들었다.
명현관 해남군수는 “이번 주말, 가을빛으로 물드는 해남에서 맛과 멋의 향연을 마음껏 즐기시길 바랍니다.
해남의 최고 품질 농수특산물과 먹거리가 건강하고 행복한 계절을 만들어 드릴 것입니다.”라고 전했다.

“Taste the Flavor, Feel the Charm!” 2025 Haenam Minam Festival Opens with Great Fanfare
– Haenam’s local cuisine and specialties gather under the autumn sky of Duryunsan Provincial Park –
Autumn in Haenam is now filled with flavor and charm.
The 2025 Haenam Minam (味南) Festival, showcasing Haenam’s signature agricultural and marine products along with its local cuisine, opened in dazzling fashion on the last day of October, captivating visitors from across the country.
Held from October 31 to November 2 at Duryunsan Provincial Park, the festival began with a parade featuring specialties from 14 towns and villages and a “Haenam 8 Delicacies” proclamation performance.
The parade, highlighting Okcheon’s rice, Songji’s seaweed, Munnae and Hwawon’s cabbage, and Sani’s sweet potatoes, offered unique performances representing each region. During the holographic “Haenam 8 Delicacies” ceremony, visitors learned about the origins and stories behind Haenam’s signature dishes.
The opening ceremony also featured donations to the Hometown Love Fund and local scholarship programs.
Kim Young-tae, former chairman of the Gwanghwa-san Residents’ Association, donated 5 million KRW, while Jin Kyung-young of the Mokhae-nam Residents’ Association contributed 7.77 million KRW. Haenam and Jindo Agricultural Cooperatives each donated 5 million KRW through mutual giving.
The Haenam Forestry Cooperative, continuing its fourth year of contributions, donated 10 million KRW to the local scholarship fund.
Following the ceremony, popular trot singers Son Tae-jin, Kim Soo-chan, Miss Kim, and Jung Mi-ae set the stage ablaze with the “Minam Trot Celebration Show,” filling the autumn night with passion and energy.
Throughout the festival grounds, food venues such as the “Haenam Table Pavilion,” featuring dishes made with the eight Haenam delicacies, the “Minam Food Court” run by local restaurants, and the “Snack Corner” serving regional treats, were packed with visitors eager to savor the flavors of Haenam.
This year’s themed pavilion spotlights Haenam Seaweed (Haenam-gim).
Visitors can enjoy special exhibits, make their own Minam Kimbap using ingredients from the Haenam 8 Delicacies at a Kimbap Pop-up Zone, and purchase seaweed products at half price during the “Haenam Seaweed Discount Fair” organized by the Haenam Fisheries Cooperative.
Interactive programs also include the “515 Kimchi Mixing Event” (Nov. 1, 2 p.m.) involving 250 participants using cabbages symbolizing Haenam’s 515 villages, the “Seaweed Rice Cake Soup Sharing Event” (Nov. 2, 4 p.m.), nostalgic outdoor grilling corners, and a Makgeolli Cocktail Lounge featuring locally branded rice wine and tea.
On Saturday night, November 1, a “Romantic Concert” will fill the air with emotion as beloved acoustic group Standing Egg and rapper BE’O take the stage, adding warmth and sentiment to the deepening autumn evening.
Other concurrent events include the 2025 Lifelong Learning Festival, a children’s playground at the Chrysanthemum Zone, and the Ttangkkeut Chrysanthemum Exhibition, enhancing the festival’s colorful autumn atmosphere.
Haenam County Mayor Myung Hyun-gwan stated,
“I invite everyone to enjoy the festival of taste and style in autumn-tinted Haenam this weekend.
With the finest local specialties and delicious cuisine, we hope you experience a healthy and joyful season here in Haenam.”
