가을의 향기와 빛으로 물든 ‘2025 보배섬 국화축제’가 성황리에 막을 올렸다.

진도군은 지난 10월 27일(월) 오후 5시 진도개테마파크에서 ‘꽃빛 활짝! 별빛 반짝! 진도에서 만나개!’를 주제로 개막식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 개막식에는 김희수 진도군수, 박금례 진도군의회의장, 김인정 전라남도의원, 진도교육지원청 교육장, 농업인 학습단체, 국화산업화연구회 회원 및 위탁생산 농가, 지역 주민 등이 참석해 축제의 시작을 함께 축하했다.

화려한 국화 점등식으로 가을밤을 수놓은 이번 축제는 초대가수 홍지윤 등의 축하공연으로 열기를 더하며 관람객의 환호를 이끌어냈다.

특히, 이날 행사에서는 김희숙 ㈜제일타카 대표가 연합모금사업 ‘모아드림’을 통해 1천만 원을 기부, 지역의 어려운 이웃을 위한 따뜻한 나눔의 뜻을 전해 감동을 더했다.

‘보배섬 국화축제’는 지역 농가가 직접 재배한 15만 본의 국화로 꾸며져 지역과 함께하는 상생형 축제로 추진됐다.

또한, 야간 조명으로 아름답게 연출된 국화정원은 방문객에게 낭만적인 가을밤의 정취를 선사하고 있다.

김희수 진도군수는 “국화 향기 속에서 잠시 일상을 내려놓고 진도의 가을을 만끽하시길 바란다.”며, “이번 축제가 군민과 관광객이 함께 즐기는 화합과 소통의 장이 되길 기대한다.”고 말했다.

한편, ‘2025 보배섬 국화축제’는 오는 11월 30일(일)까지 이어지며, 축제 기간 동안 국화 판매장, 작은 음악회, 포토존 등 다양한 부대행사가 마련돼 관람객의 발길을 붙잡을 예정이다.

A dazzling display of 150,000 chrysanthemums — a collaborative festival with local farmers
The 2025 Treasure Island Chrysanthemum Festival opened in splendid fashion, filling Jindo with the colors and scents of autumn.
The opening ceremony took place at Jindo Dog Theme Park on October 27 (Mon) at 5 p.m., under the theme “Blooming Lights, Shining Stars — Let’s Meet in Jindo!”, Jindo County announced.
The event was attended by Jindo County Mayor Kim Hee-su, Jindo County Council Chair Park Geum-rye, Jeonnam Provincial Assembly Member Kim In-jeong, the Jindo Office of Education Superintendent, members of agricultural learning organizations, the Chrysanthemum Industrialization Research Association, contract growers, and many local residents, who gathered to celebrate the start of the festival.
The festival opened with a brilliant lighting ceremony, illuminating the autumn night, followed by performances by popular singer Hong Ji-yoon and others, heightening the festive atmosphere and delighting the audience.
In a heartwarming gesture, Kim Hee-sook, CEO of Jeil Taka Co., Ltd., donated 10 million KRW through the “Moa Dream” community fundraising campaign, contributing to support for underprivileged neighbors.
This year’s Treasure Island Chrysanthemum Festival has been organized as a cooperative event with local farmers, featuring 150,000 chrysanthemums grown locally. The nighttime chrysanthemum garden, illuminated with colorful lights, offers visitors a romantic and tranquil autumn evening experience.
Jindo County Mayor Kim Hee-su said,
“I hope everyone will take a break from their daily lives and enjoy the beauty of autumn here in Jindo, surrounded by the fragrance of chrysanthemums. I look forward to this festival becoming a joyful gathering for both residents and visitors.”
The 2025 Treasure Island Chrysanthemum Festival will continue until November 30 (Sun), featuring a chrysanthemum market, small concerts, photo zones, and various side events that are expected to captivate visitors throughout the season.
