완도군은 ‘청정 완도 가을 섬 여행’의 대미를 장식한 지난 10월 26일, 완도 해변공원에서 ‘2026 Pre 완도국제해조류박람회’ 성공 개최 기원 퍼포먼스를 열었다.
이번 퍼포먼스는 완도의 대표 해양자원인 해조류와 전복을 주제로 한 박람회의 성공적인 개최를 염원하며 진행됐다.
2026 완도국제해조류박람회는 내년 5월 2일부터 7일까지 6일간 완도 해변공원 일원에서 열릴 예정으로, 국제 심포지엄과 수출 상담회 등 다양한 프로그램이 마련될 계획이다.
행사에서는 “해조류, 전복하면 완도여라! 2026 Pre 완도국제해조류박람회 성공 개최를 기원합니다!”라는 문구를 캘리그라피로 힘차게 써 내려가는 퍼포먼스가 펼쳐졌다.
이범우 완도부군수와 지민, 최정욱 완도군의회 의원, 그리고 어린이 참가자가 무대에 올라 응원의 메시지를 더하며 현장 분위기를 뜨겁게 달궜다.
퍼포먼스 이후에는 박람회 추진위원회 위원들과 내빈들이 함께 무대에 올라 구호를 외치며 성공 개최를 다짐했다.
현장을 찾은 한 관람객은 “완도의 해조류와 바다의 아름다움을 다시금 느낄 수 있었다”며 “내년 박람회가 벌써부터 기대된다.”고 소감을 전했다.
군 관계자는 “모두가 한마음으로 박람회의 성공을 기원한 뜻깊은 시간이었다.”며, “해조류의 세계적 가치를 알리고 완도의 위상을 높이는 박람회가 될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”고 밝혔다.

Calligraphy performance and stage show highlight the charm of seaweed and the mystery of the ocean
Wando County held a performance to wish for the successful hosting of the 2026 Pre-Wando International Seaweed Expo on October 26 at Wando Beach Park, marking the finale of the “Clean Wando Autumn Island Trip” festival.
The event was organized to express hopes for the successful hosting of the upcoming expo, which centers on Wando’s signature marine resources — seaweed and abalone.
The 2026 Wando International Seaweed Expo is scheduled to take place from May 2 to 7, 2026, for six days at Wando Beach Park. The expo will feature a wide range of programs, including an international symposium and export consultation sessions.
During the event, a powerful calligraphy performance took place, with participants writing the phrase:
“When it comes to seaweed and abalone, it’s Wando! We wish for the great success of the 2026 Pre-Wando International Seaweed Expo!”
Wando Deputy Governor Lee Beom-woo, county council members Ji Min and Choi Jung-wook, and a young child joined the stage to add messages of support, energizing the atmosphere.
After the performance, members of the Expo Organizing Committee and other distinguished guests came up on stage to shout a unified slogan together, reaffirming their commitment to making the expo a success.
One audience member shared, “It was a wonderful experience that reminded me once again of Wando’s beautiful seaweed and ocean. I’m already looking forward to next year’s expo.”
A Wando County official stated, “It was a meaningful moment where everyone came together with one heart to wish for the success of the Seaweed Expo,” adding, “We will do our utmost to enhance the global value of seaweed and raise Wando’s international profile through this event.”
