해남군장애인복지관(관장 김도영)은 10월 25일(토) 오전 11시부터 오후 4시까지 대흥사 종각 앞마당에서 ‘일일 찻집’을 열고 장애인 돕기 나눔 행사를 펼쳤다.

이번 행사는 대흥사의 후원으로 매년 이어져 온 뜻 깊은 전통 행사로, 지역 신도들과 관광객들이 함께 어우러져 온정을 나누는 자리로 자리매김하고 있다.

이날 김도영 관장을 비롯한 복지관 직원들과 자원봉사자들은 따뜻한 차 한 잔에 정성을 담아 방문객들에게 대접하며, 수익금 전액을 지역 내 장애인 복지 향상과 지원 사업에 사용할 예정이다.

대흥사 신도들과 해남을 찾은 관광객들도 차를 마시며 기부에 동참해 훈훈한 분위기를 더했다.

행사장에는 포교활동의 일환으로 마련된 전통다도 시연과 차 향 체험 부스도 운영되어 참가자들의 큰 호응을 얻었다.

김도영 관장은 “십 수 년째 이어져 온 일일찻집은 지역사회와 함께 만들어가는 나눔의 장”이라며 “한 잔의 차를 통해 따뜻한 마음이 전해지고, 장애인에 대한 관심과 사랑이 더욱 확산되길 바란다.”고 말했다.

한편, 대흥사는 매년 이 행사를 후원하며 불교의 자비 정신을 실천하는 포교활동의 일환으로 지역 복지 향상에 꾸준히 힘쓰고 있다.

“A Cup of Warmth, Sharing Hearts”
– Haenam County Welfare Center for the Disabled Holds One-Day Tea House with Daeheungsa’s Support –
The Haenam County Welfare Center for the Disabled (Director Kim Do-young) hosted a “One-Day Tea House” event on October 25 (Saturday) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in front of the bell pavilion at Daeheungsa Temple, sharing love and compassion through tea to support people with disabilities.
This meaningful annual tradition, sponsored by Daeheungsa, has become a beloved community event where local Buddhists and visitors come together to share kindness and warmth.
Director Kim Do-young, along with the welfare center staff and volunteers, served cups of tea filled with sincerity to guests, with all proceeds designated to support programs that improve the welfare of people with disabilities in the region.
Buddhist followers from Daeheungsa and tourists visiting Haenam also joined in by enjoying tea and participating in donations, creating a heartwarming atmosphere throughout the day.
As part of the temple’s outreach activities, the event also featured a traditional tea ceremony demonstration and a tea fragrance experience booth, which received an enthusiastic response from participants.
Director Kim stated, “The One-Day Tea House, which has continued for more than ten years, is a community tradition built on sharing and compassion. I hope that through a single cup of tea, warm hearts will be shared and public interest and love for people with disabilities will continue to grow.”
Meanwhile, Daeheungsa has been supporting this event every year as part of its missionary efforts, faithfully practicing the Buddhist spirit of compassion and continuously contributing to the betterment of local welfare.
