진도군은 최근 지역 기관과 단체 관계자들과 함께 중대산업재해 예방 간담회를 개최했다고 밝혔다. 이번 간담회는 산업현장의 안전관리와 협력 방안을 논의하기 위해 마련됐다.
간담회에는 진도경찰서, 진도교육지원청, 진도소방서, 한국전력공사 진도지사, 한국수자원공사 진도수도지사, 대한전문건설협회 전라남도회, 건설중기협회 등 지역 기관·단체 관계자가 참석했다.
특히 이날 참석자들은 최근 시행된 ‘중대재해처벌법’의 주요 내용과 적용 범위를 검토하고, 안전보건 관리 체계 구축, 관리감독자 지정, 근로자의 안전보건 참여 확대 등 제도적인 대응 방안을 공유했다.
김선주 진도 부군수는 “정부는 ‘일하는 모든 사람이 건강하고 안전한 나라’를 강조하고 있다.”며, “우리 군도 정부의 정책에 발맞춰 산업재해 예방과 안전한 근로환경 조성에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
진도군은 앞으로도 지역 기관과 긴밀히 협력하며 ‘중대산업재해 없는 안전한 진도군’ 실현에 힘쓸 계획이다.

Jindo County Holds Meeting to Prevent Major Industrial Accidents
“Leading the Way to Safe Workplaces Free from Industrial Accidents”
Jindo County recently held a meeting with local institutions and organizations to discuss the prevention of major industrial accidents. The meeting was organized to discuss safety management at industrial sites and explore ways to strengthen cooperation.
Participants included representatives from Jindo Police Station, Jindo Office of Education, Jindo Fire Station, Korea Electric Power Corporation Jindo Branch, Korea Water Resources Corporation Jindo Water Branch, the Jeollanam-do Chapter of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association, and the Construction Equipment Association, among other local institutions and organizations.
During the meeting, attendees reviewed the key provisions and scope of application of the recently enacted “Serious Accidents Punishment Act” and shared institutional measures such as establishing a safety and health management system, appointing supervisory personnel, and expanding worker participation in safety and health management.
Kim Seon-joo, Vice County Governor of Jindo, stated, “The government emphasizes creating a country where everyone can work in health and safety. In line with this policy, our county will also do its utmost to prevent industrial accidents and ensure a safe working environment.”
Jindo County plans to continue working closely with local institutions to realize a “Jindo County free from major industrial accidents.”
