해남군의회(의장 이성옥)가 오는 9월 27일 정식 개통을 앞둔 목포보성선 해남역을 지난 16일 방문, 시설과 운영 환경을 사전 점검했다.
목포보성선은 목포에서 순천·부전까지 하루 10회(상행 5회, 하행 5회) 운행될 예정으로, 개통 시 해남군민의 광역교통 접근성이 크게 향상될 전망이다.
의원들은 목포~서울 간 열차 운행 시간과 연계될 수 있도록 한국철도공사에 배차 조정 등을 요청했으며, 해남군은 향후 운행 시간 확정에 맞춰 군내 교통 노선을 조정하고 역사 내 관광해설사 배치 및 관광상품 연계 방안도 추진할 계획이다.
이성옥 의장은 “목포보성선 개통은 해남군 교통환경의 중요한 전환점이 될 것”이라며 “군민 편의를 높이고 지역 관광 활성화에도 기여할 수 있기를 기대한다.”고 말했다.
Haenam County Council Conducts Pre-Opening Inspection of Haenam Station Ahead of Mokpo-Boseong Line Launch

Haenam County Council (Chairperson Lee Sung-ok) visited Haenam Station on September 16 to inspect its facilities and operational environment ahead of the official opening of the Mokpo-Boseong Line on September 27.
The Mokpo-Boseong Line is scheduled to operate 10 times daily (5 trains each direction) between Mokpo and Suncheon-Bujeon, and its opening is expected to significantly improve access to the wider transportation network for Haenam residents.
Council members requested Korail to adjust train schedules to coordinate with the Mokpo–Seoul route. Haenam County plans to revise local transportation routes according to the confirmed train schedules and will also implement measures such as station-based tour guides and integration with local tourism products.
Chairperson Lee Sung-ok stated, “The opening of the Mokpo-Boseong Line marks an important turning point for Haenam’s transportation environment. We hope it will enhance convenience for residents and contribute to the revitalization of local tourism.”
