국비 235억 원이 투입되는 국도 교차로 개선사업이 순조롭게 진행되면서 군민들의 교통 편의와 안전이 크게 개선될 전망이다.

광주국토관리사무소 해남출장소가 시행 중인 이번 사업은 국도 13·18·77호선의 교차로 연결을 중심으로 진행된다.

국토교통부의 국도 위험도로 개선사업 6단계(2018~2022)에 포함된 옥천 영춘지구와 마산 상등지구 교차로가 이미 개통되어 해남읍과 옥천면은 물론 남도광역추모공원을 찾는 차량의 이동이 한결 편리해졌다.

또한 7단계(2023~2027)에 반영된 해남읍 신안 교차로 개선사업은 설계를 마치고 공사에 착수했다.

현산면 고현교차로는 사고가 잦았던 구간으로 주민 의견을 반영해 입체교차로로 설계를 진행 중이며, 설계 완료 후 주민설명회를 거쳐 최종 사업계획을 공유할 예정이다.

문내면 석교 교차로도 개선 대상이다.

좌회전 차량 회전반경 부족과 시야 확보 문제로 사고가 잦았던 이곳은 당초 6단계 사업에 포함됐으나, 사업비 증액이 필요해 7단계로 편입되어 50억 원을 투입해 시설을 개선할 계획이다.

군 관계자는 “앞으로도 지속적인 교차로 개선사업을 통해 지역 접근성을 높이고 안전한 도로 시설을 확충해 교통사고 예방에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.

Haenam County is enhancing access to key facilities through a national highway intersection improvement project with a 23.5 billion KRW budget. The project, led by the Haenam branch of the Gwangju Regional Land Management Office, focuses on National Highways 13, 18, and 77.
Intersections at Okcheon Yeongchun and Masan Sangdeung, part of Phase 6 (2018–2022), have already opened, improving travel between Haenam-eup, Okcheon-myeon, and the Namdo Regional Memorial Park. Phase 7 (2023–2027) projects, including Sinan and Seokgyo intersections, are under design or construction, addressing safety issues such as poor visibility and limited turning radius.
The Gohyeon intersection in Hyeonsan-myeon will be upgraded to a grade-separated intersection based on residents’ feedback. A county official emphasized that ongoing improvements aim to boost accessibility and prevent traffic accidents.
