해남군 북일면 월성부녀회(대표 채미숙) 마을공동체가 전라남도 주관 ‘2025 마을공동체 우수사례 평가’에서 우수상을 받았다.
월성부녀회는 고령화 농촌에서 주민들의 자발적 참여를 통해 삶의 질 향상과 공동체 회복에 힘써왔다.
주민들은 천연염색, 라탄공예 등 문화여가 프로그램을 함께하며 어르신 정신 건강과 주민 화합에 기여하고 있다.
특히 공동급식 프로그램을 운영, 주민 80% 이상이 참여해 음식을 나누며 복지사각지대를 해소하고 마을 단합 분위기를 조성하고 있다.
군 관계자는 “월성마을의 공동체 정신과 주민들의 자발적 활동이 좋은 결과로 이어졌다”며 “행정에서도 맞춤형 지원을 통해 마을공동체 활성화에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
시상식은 10월 31일 화순 하니움문화스포츠센터에서 열리는 ‘2025 전남 마을공동체 한마당’ 행사에서 진행된다.

Wolseong Women’s Association in Bukil-myeon, Haenam Wins Excellence Award in Jeonnam Village Community Program
The Wolseong Women’s Association (Representative: Chae Mi-sook) in Bukil-myeon, Haenam, was awarded the Excellence Prize in the “2025 Jeonnam Village Community Best Practices Evaluation” hosted by Jeollanam-do Province.
The association has been actively working to improve the quality of life and restore community ties in this aging rural area through voluntary participation by local residents.
Residents engage together in cultural and leisure programs such as natural dyeing and rattan craft, contributing to the mental health of the elderly and fostering community harmony.
In particular, their communal meal program involves over 80% of residents in preparing and sharing food, helping to reduce welfare blind spots and creating a unified village atmosphere.
A Haenam County official said, “The community spirit and voluntary activities of Wolseong Village have led to these excellent results. The administration will continue to do its best to revitalize village communities through tailored support and policies.”
The award ceremony will be held during the “2025 Jeonnam Village Community Festival” at Hanium Culture & Sports Center in Hwasun on October 31.
