진도군 치매안심센터가 치매 예방과 관리를 위한 다양한 맞춤형 서비스를 제공하며 지역 어르신과 가족들의 삶을 지원하고 있다.
센터에 등록하면 사례관리, 복지연계, 상담 등 지속적인 서비스가 제공되며, 치매 조기 검진도 무료로 받을 수 있다.
선별검사 후 인지 저하가 의심될 경우 전문의 진료와 뇌 영상·혈액검사 등 감별검사도 진행되며, 중위소득 120% 이하 대상자는 감별 검사비 일부 지원을 받을 수 있다.
또한 치매 치료 관리비 지원 기준을 중위소득 140% 이하로 확대하고, 기저귀·물티슈 등 조호 물품과 배회 감지기, 인식표 등 사회적 안전망을 구축했다.
치매 가족을 위한 교실과 자조 모임, 힐링 프로그램, 동반 보호 서비스 등 돌봄 부담을 줄이는 다양한 서비스도 운영 중이다.
진도군 보건소 관계자는 “치매 환자와 가족이 존엄하게 생활할 수 있도록 지원하며, 건강하고 행복한 지역사회를 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
한편, 진도군 치매안심센터는 카카오톡 채널 운영을 통해 지역 주민이 쉽고 빠르게 치매 관련 정보를 접하고 도움을 받을 수 있도록 지원하고 있다.

Jindo Dementia Relief Center Strengthens Dementia Prevention and Care

The Jindo Dementia Relief Center is providing a variety of personalized services to support dementia prevention and care, helping local seniors and their families maintain a better quality of life.
Registered participants can receive continuous services including case management, welfare linkage, and counseling. Early dementia screening is also available free of charge.
If cognitive decline is suspected after the initial screening, further evaluation is provided, including specialist consultations, brain imaging, and blood tests. For individuals with a household income at or below 120% of the median, partial support for the cost of these assessments is available.
In addition, support for dementia treatment and management costs has been expanded to households earning up to 140% of the median income. Essential caregiving items such as diapers and wet wipes, as well as social safety tools including wandering detection devices and ID tags, are also provided to prevent accidents.
The center also offers family support programs, including dementia family classes, self-help group healing programs, and companion care services, reducing the burden of caregiving for families.
A Jindo Public Health Center official said, "We are committed to supporting dementia patients and their families to live with dignity and to creating a healthy and happy community."
Meanwhile, the Jindo Dementia Relief Center operates a KakaoTalk channel, allowing local residents to easily access information on dementia and receive timely assistance.
