신재생에너지 보급 확대 사업에 참여한 기관·기업들이 진도군 인재 육성과 지역 안전을 위해 잇따라 기부에 나서며 지역사회에 훈훈한 감동을 전하고 있다.

진도군은 13일 개최된 기탁식에서 재단법인 한국LPG사업관리원(원장 손승진) 500만 원, ㈜대명산업개발(대표 정동진) 500만 원 등 총 1,000만 원의 인재육성장학금을 전달받았다고 밝혔다.

또한 재단법인 녹색에너지연구원(원장 황규철)은 군민의 야간 보행 안전을 위해 태양광 보안등 75개를 기부했다.

■ “지역 인재·군민 안전 위해 뜻 모아”… 기부 의미 커져
이번 기부는 단순한 사업 참여를 넘어 지역사회 발전에 동참하겠다는 민·관 협력의 의지라는 점에서 의미가 크다.

기탁된 장학금은 지역 인재 육성에 활용되며, 태양광 보안등은 야간 골목길·취약지역 등에 설치돼 군민 안전망 강화에 기여하게 된다.

김희수 진도군수는 “이번 기탁은 에너지 사업을 넘어 지역의 미래를 함께 만들어가겠다는 따뜻한 동행”이라며 “진도군은 앞으로도 에너지 혜택의 문턱을 낮춰 소외 없는 에너지 복지 실현에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.

한편 진도군은 군민 삶의 질 향상을 위해 LPG 마을배관망 구축사업,
신재생에너지보급 융복합지원사업 등을 지속적으로 추진하며 에너지 복지 기반 확충에 힘쓰고 있다.

이번 참여 기업들의 기부는 이러한 정책 기조에 힘을 보태며, 지역 공동체와 함께 성장하는 에너지 협력 모델로 자리 잡을 것으로 기대된다.

Institutions and Firms Participating in Renewable Energy Projects Make Consecutive Donations
Organizations and companies involved in Jindo County’s renewable energy expansion projects are stepping up with donations to support local talent development and community safety, creating a warm wave of goodwill across the region.
Jindo County announced that at the donation ceremony held on the 13th, the Korea LPG Safety & Management Institute (President Son Seung-jin) donated KRW 5 million, and Daemyung Industrial Development Co., Ltd. (CEO Jung Dong-jin) contributed another KRW 5 million to the Jindo Talent Development Scholarship Foundation, totaling KRW 10 million.
In addition, the Green Energy Institute (President Hwang Gyu-cheol) donated 75 solar-powered security lights to enhance the safety of residents during nighttime hours.
■ “A Shared Commitment to Nurturing Local Talent and Protecting Residents”… Growing Significance of Donations
These contributions go beyond simple project participation, reflecting a public–private commitment to Jindo’s long-term community development.
The scholarship funds will support local students, while the solar security lights will be installed in alleyways and vulnerable areas to strengthen nighttime safety measures for residents.
Jindo County Mayor Kim Hee-su stated,
“This donation is more than participation in an energy project—it is a warm gesture of walking together to build Jindo’s future,” adding, “Jindo County will continue to lower the barriers to energy access so that no resident is left behind.”
■ Jindo County Continues Expanding Its Energy Welfare Programs
Jindo County has been actively working to improve residents’ quality of life through ongoing initiatives such as the LPG Village Pipeline Network Project and the Renewable Energy Convergence Support Project, expanding its foundation for energy welfare.
The latest round of donations by participating institutions and companies is expected to reinforce this policy direction and serve as a model for community-centered energy cooperation.
