진도군이 운영한 ‘3기 행복한 보배섬 엄마모임’이 최근 출산통합지원센터에서 따뜻한 공감과 치유의 시간을 남기며 성공적으로 막을 내렸다.

이번 프로그램은 임신·출산·육아 과정에서 지친 엄마들에게 쉼과 응원, 그리고 서로의 경험을 나누는 치유의 공동체 공간을 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.

■ 마음 치유·육아 역량·공동체 형성까지… 실속형 프로그램 ‘가득’
3기 엄마모임은 엄마의 심리적 지지와 육아 역량 강화를 목표로 다채로운 체험·교육 프로그램이 체계적으로 구성됐다.

참가자들은
▲또래 엄마들과 서로 알아가기
▲책 육아법 배우기
▲산전·산후 건강관리 교육
▲꽃꽂이 정서치유 프로그램
▲자동차 열쇠 지갑 만들기
▲천연 아로마 오일 제작
▲베이비 마사지
▲촉감 놀이
▲영유아 하임리히법 이론 및 실습 등 실용성과 감성 치유를 아우르는 활동을 함께했다.

특히 영유아 응급상황 대응법 교육은 많은 엄마들의 호응을 얻으며 “실제로 꼭 필요한 교육”이라는 평가를 받았다.

■ 국화 향기 속에서 마무리… “육아 고민 함께 나누니 위로가 됐다”
마지막 날에는 진돗개 테마파크 아리랑식물원을 찾아 국화를 감상하며 힐링 시간을 가졌다.

이어 ‘행복 뽑기통’ 이벤트가 진행돼 육아 스트레스 해소와 웃음을 나누는 축제 분위기가 이어졌다.

한 참가자는 “비슷한 고민을 가진 또래 엄마들과 마음을 나누고 서로 응원해 줄 수 있어 큰 위로가 됐다.”며 “진도에서 이런 자리가 마련돼 감사하다.”고 소감을 전했다.

■ 진도군 “부모와 아이가 함께 성장하는 육아환경 만들 것”
진도군 관계자는 “엄마가 행복해야 아이도 밝게 자란다.”며 “육아 과정에서 부모가 고립되지 않도록 건강한 공동체를 만드는 데 앞으로도 다양한 프로그램을 이어가겠다.”고 말했다.

진도군은 올해에 이어 내년에도 엄마·아빠의 양육 부담을 덜고 가족이 함께 성장하는 돌봄 프로그램을 확대할 계획이다.

Jindo County has successfully wrapped up the 3rd session of its “Happy Treasure Island Mom Group,” held recently at the county’s Integrated Birth Support Center. The program provided a warm space for comfort, empathy, and emotional healing for mothers experiencing the challenges of pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare.
■ A full lineup of programs for healing, parenting skills, and community building
The 3rd Mom Group offered a well-structured series of hands-on activities and educational sessions aimed at strengthening mothers’ emotional wellbeing and parenting competence.
Participants took part in:
Getting to know fellow moms
Learning book-based parenting methods
Prenatal and postpartum health education
Flower arrangement for emotional healing
Making car-key wallets
Creating natural aroma oils
Baby massage
Sensory play
Theory and practice of the infant Heimlich maneuver
These activities were designed to balance practical parenting knowledge with emotional support.
In particular, the infant emergency-response training received strong positive feedback, with many mothers calling it “an essential and truly helpful session.”
■ A warm finale among chrysanthemums: “Sharing our parenting struggles brought comfort”
On the final day, the group visited the Jindo Dog Theme Park’s Arirang Botanical Garden, where they enjoyed a relaxing chrysanthemum viewing experience.
A “Happiness Draw Box” event followed, creating a cheerful atmosphere that helped relieve parenting stress and encouraged laughter and connection.
One participant shared, “It was comforting to talk about parenting worries with moms in similar situations. We encouraged one another, and it was truly a warm and meaningful experience. I’m grateful that Jindo provides opportunities like this.”
■ Jindo County: “We will continue building an environment where parents and children grow together”
A Jindo County official stated, “When mothers are emotionally healthy, children grow up happier and more confident,” adding, “We will continue developing diverse programs that prevent parental isolation and help build a supportive childcare community.”
Jindo County plans to expand its parent-child programs next year as part of broader efforts to ease parenting burdens and support family growth.
