전라남도진도교육지원청(교육장 김미)은 11월 11일(목) 교육지원청 컴퓨터실에서 관내 공·사립 유치원 교원을 대상으로 ‘글로컬+ 진도교육 아카데미’를 개최하고, 미래 유아교육의 방향을 함께 모색했다.

이번 아카데미는 유아교육의 공공성과 전문성을 강화하고 지속가능한 교육 생태계를 조성하기 위한 교원 역량 강화 프로그램으로 마련됐다.

유아 중심·놀이 중심 교육의 실현을 핵심 과제로 삼아, 현장 교사들의 실천력을 높이는 데 중점을 두었다.

■ 1·2차 과정으로 나뉜 실천형 아카데미 운영
아카데미는 1차와 2차로 나뉘어 진행됐다.

1차에는 유치원 방과 후 과정 담당 교사들이 참여해 유아 생활 중심 교육 사례를 공유했으며, 2차에는 교육과정 담당 교사와 원감이 참여해 정책 변화에 따른 현장 적용 방안을 논의했다.

이날 강연은 김정희 전 전라남도교육청 정책국장이 맡아 ‘동화처럼 펼쳐지는 교육의 미래: 유아교육의 비전’을 주제로 진행됐다.

김 강사는 국내외 유아교육 정책의 흐름을 조망하며, 교사 주도적 실천과 지역 특색이 결합된 미래형 유아교육 모델을 제시했다.

■ 현장 중심 토론과 협업 과제 도출
강연 이후에는 교사들의 의견을 직접 듣는 질의응답과 토론이 이어졌다.

참가 교원들은 유아 중심 수업 운영의 실제 사례와 어려움을 공유하며, 지역 여건에 맞는 협업 모델을 논의했다.

특히, 연수 결과를 바탕으로 각 유치원별 실행 가능한 후속 과제를 함께 도출하여 실천 중심의 교육 연수로 이어질 수 있도록 했다.

■ “유아 중심·놀이 중심, 진도교육의 미래 비전”
김미 교육장은 “미래 유아교육의 핵심은 유아 중심, 놀이 중심 교육에 있다.”며 “교원의 전문성과 실천 역량을 높여 진도 유아교육이 지속적으로 성장할 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다.”고 밝혔다.

진도교육지원청은 이번 아카데미를 통해 유치원 교육과정과 방과 후 과정 간 협업 기반을 강화하고, 진도 유아교육공동체의 비전 공유와 상생 문화를 확산시킨다는 계획이다.

**“Child-Centered and Play-Centered Education Is the Future”
Jindo Office of Education Presents Vision for Future Early Childhood Education through ‘Glocal+ Jindo Education Academy’**
The Jindo Office of Education of Jeollanam-do (Director: Kim Mi) held the ‘Glocal+ Jindo Education Academy’ on Thursday, November 11, at the office’s computer lab for public and private kindergarten teachers in the county, exploring together the direction of future early childhood education.
The academy was organized as a teacher capacity-building program to strengthen the public nature and professionalism of early childhood education and to create a sustainable educational ecosystem.
Focusing on the realization of child-centered and play-centered education, the program emphasized enhancing teachers’ practical competencies in the field.
■ A Two-Phase Practical Academy
The academy was conducted in two separate sessions.
In the first session, teachers in charge of after-school programs participated and shared case studies of child-centered learning in daily life.
The second session brought together curriculum teachers and vice principals, who discussed how to apply new educational policies in real settings.
The keynote lecture was delivered by Kim Jung-hee, former Director of Policy at the Jeollanam-do Office of Education, under the theme “The Future of Education Unfolding Like a Fairy Tale: The Vision of Early Childhood Education.”
Kim provided an overview of domestic and international trends in early childhood education and presented a future-oriented educational model that combines teacher-led practice with local characteristics.
■ Field-Based Discussion and Collaborative Tasks
Following the lecture, a Q&A and open discussion session was held to hear directly from teachers.
Participants shared real-life examples and challenges in implementing child-centered learning and explored collaborative models tailored to the local context.
Based on the session’s outcomes, teachers also identified feasible follow-up tasks for each kindergarten, ensuring that the academy would lead to sustained and actionable professional development.
■ “Child- and Play-Centered Education: The Vision of Jindo Education”
Director Kim Mi emphasized,
“The core of future early childhood education lies in child-centered and play-centered learning. We will continue to expand professional training programs that strengthen teachers’ practical competencies and ensure the sustainable growth of Jindo’s early childhood education.”
Through this academy, the Jindo Office of Education aims to reinforce collaboration between kindergarten curriculum and after-school programs and to foster a culture of shared vision and mutual growth within the Jindo early childhood education community.
