“점자로 찍은 명함 한 장, 장애 공감의 시작”

장애학생 인권·통합교육 역량 강화 연수

전라남도해남교육지원청(교육장 조연주)은 11일 관내 유‧초‧중‧고등학교 교(원)장과 교(원)감 등 62명을 대상으로 ‘장애학생 인권보호 및 통합교육 역량 강화 연수’를 실시했다.

이번 연수는 학교 관리자의 장애 인권 의식을 높이고 통합교육의 책무성을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다.

강의는 사이영협동조합 강세웅 이사장이 맡아, 장애인 인권 감수성 제고를 위한 이론 교육, 명함에 점자를 직접 찍어보는 체험형 교육, 휠체어 스포츠댄스 공연을 통한 공감형 교육 등으로 진행됐다.

참석자들은 장애인의 일상과 불편함을 몸소 체험하며 장애 공감 문화를 확산하는 계기를 마련했다.

연수에 참여한 한 교장은 “장애에 대한 이론과 체험을 함께 배울 수 있어 뜻깊었다.”며 “현장에서 장애학생에 대한 편견이 사라질 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.

조연주 교육장은 “이번 연수를 통해 해남 지역에서도 장애 공감 문화가 생활 속에 뿌리내리길 바란다.”며, “앞으로 관리자뿐 아니라 교직원과 학생 모두가 참여하는 장애 공감 교육을 지속적으로 추진하겠다.”고 밝혔다.

“A Business Card Imprinted in Braille — The Beginning of Empathy for Disabilities”
Haenam Office of Education Holds Training to Strengthen Human Rights and Inclusive Education Competence for School Administrators
The Jeollanam-do Haenam Office of Education (Director Cho Yeon-joo) conducted a training session on November 11 for 62 principals and vice principals from local kindergartens, elementary, middle, and high schools under the theme of “Strengthening Human Rights Protection and Inclusive Education Competence for Students with Disabilities.”
The program aimed to raise school administrators’ awareness of disability rights and to reinforce accountability for inclusive education in schools.
The lecture was led by Kang Se-woong, Director of Saie Young Cooperative, and included sessions on disability sensitivity education, hands-on training where participants printed Braille on their own business cards, and an empathetic wheelchair sports dance performance.
Through these activities, participants were able to directly experience the daily challenges faced by people with disabilities and gained a deeper understanding of the importance of empathy and inclusion.
One participating principal said, “It was a meaningful experience to learn both the theory and practice of understanding disabilities. I will work to eliminate prejudice against students with disabilities in our school environment.”
Director Cho Yeon-joo commented, “I hope this training will help foster a culture of empathy for people with disabilities in everyday life throughout the Haenam region,” adding, “We will continue to support empathy education programs not only for administrators but also for teachers and students.”
