“폐건전지로 피어난 나눔” 해남교육지원청

전라남도해남교육지원청(교육장 조연주)은 지난 11월 11일(화), 관내 일반직 공무원 전문적 학습공동체 ‘ESG 꽃바람’과 함께 폐건전지 재활용을 통해 마련한 물품을 지역 사회복지시설에 기부하는 나눔 활동을 2년 연속 진행했다고 밝혔다.

‘ESG 꽃바람’은 해남교육지원청 소속 일반직 공무원들이 학교 현장에서 발생하는 재활용 가능 폐기물을 자원으로 전환해 지역과 함께 순환 가치를 만들어가는 학습공동체이다.

이들은 지난해에 이어 올해에도 관내 초·중·고 학교로부터 폐건전지를 모아 지자체 쓰레기봉투로 교환한 뒤, 이를 사회복지시설 ‘등대원’에 전달하며 실질적인 나눔 활동을 이어가고 있다.

2024년 11월 11일 해남교육지원청 및 관내 학교, 복지시설에서 폐건전지 → 쓰레기봉투 교환 → 기부행사를 했다.

순환자원화 및 지역 연계 방식으로 ESG(환경·사회·지배구조) 실천 문화 확산을 위해라는 구조로 진행되었다.

이경수 행정지원과장은 “이번 활동은 단순 기부를 넘어, 학생들과 교직원들이 일상 속에서 ESG 실천을 체감할 수 있는 교육형 나눔”이라며, “해남교육의 공생 프로젝트가 더욱 확산될 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다.”고 말했다.

한편 해남교육지원청은 학교 현장에서 발생하는 플라스틱·종이·폐전지 등 재활용 자원 수거 활성화, 친환경 소비 캠페인, 저탄소 생활문화 교육 프로그램 등을 확대하며 ‘실천하는 ESG 해남교육’을 지속적으로 추진할 계획이다.

“Sharing Blossoms from Used Batteries”
Haenam Office of Education’s ‘ESG Flower Breeze’ Carries Out Donations for Second Consecutive Year
The Jeollanam-do Haenam Office of Education (Superintendent Jo Yeon-joo) announced that on Tuesday, November 11, it carried out a donation campaign for the second consecutive year in collaboration with ESG Flower Breeze, a professional learning community of general administrative staff.
ESG Flower Breeze is a group composed of administrative officials from the Haenam Office of Education who promote resource circulation by collecting recyclable waste generated in schools and transforming it into usable community resources.
Again this year, following their activities from last year, members gathered used batteries from elementary, middle, and high schools across the district, exchanged them for municipal waste disposal bags, and delivered these items to the local social welfare facility Deungdae-won, putting their values of sharing into action.
This year’s donation activity was conducted under the following structure:

Lee Kyung-su, Head of the Administrative Support Division, stated,
“This initiative goes beyond mere donation. It enables students and faculty to naturally experience ESG values in their daily routines. We will continue to support the sustainable expansion of Haenam’s symbiotic education projects.”
Meanwhile, the Haenam Office of Education plans to further expand recycling initiatives for plastics, paper, and batteries generated in schools, along with eco-friendly consumption campaigns and low-carbon lifestyle education programs, as part of its ongoing efforts to build a practicing ESG Haenam education model.
