“해남, 위험도로 걷어낸다!”

해남군이 교통사고 위험이 높은 주요 도로 구간의 안전성 강화를 위해 2026년 위험도로 구조 개선사업에 총 8억 원의 사업비를 확보했다.

군은 교통사고 발생 가능성이 높은 선형불량(도로 굴곡, 시야 확보 불량) 구간을 정밀 검토한 결과, 다음 3개 구간을 사업 대상으로 확정했다.

옥천 용동 구간 선형개량 : 2억 원
송지 어란 구간 선형개량 : 3억 원
마산 노하 구간 선형개량 : 3억 원

해당 구간들은 도로 굴곡이 심하거나 내리막·사각지대가 존재하는 지역으로, 운전자와 보행자 모두에게 사고 위험이 높게 지적되어 왔다.

이에 따라 해남군은 도로 선형을 직선화하거나 곡률을 완화하고, 시거(시야 확보) 개선 및 안전시설 확충을 병행하여 쾌적하고 안전한 통행환경을 마련할 계획이다.

군은 2026년 상반기 중 설계에 착수하고, 주민 의견 수렴을 거쳐 단계적으로 공사를 진행할 예정이다.

군 관계자는 “이번 사업은 군민들이 체감할 수 있는 교통안전 개선 효과가 큰 사업”이라며,

“앞으로도 위험도로 정비를 지속적으로 확대해, 해남을 더 안전하고 편리하게 이동할 수 있는 도시로 만들어가겠다.”고 밝혔다.

해남군은 이번 사업을 시작으로, 군 전역 도로 환경 개선과 보행 안전 강화 대책을 지속 추진할 계획이다.

8 Billion KRW Secured for 2026 Road Safety Improvement Project
Haenam-gun has secured a total of 8 billion KRW in funding for the 2026 Dangerous Road Structure Improvement Project, aimed at enhancing safety along major road sections with a high risk of traffic accidents.
Based on a detailed review of road segments with severe curvature and restricted visibility, the county has selected the following three sections for improvement:
Okcheon–Yongdong Section Alignment Improvement: 2 billion KRW
Songji–Eoran Section Alignment Improvement: 3 billion KRW
Masan–Noha Section Alignment Improvement: 3 billion KRW
These areas have long been identified as high-risk zones due to sharp curves, slopes, and limited lines of sight, posing dangers to both drivers and pedestrians.
In response, Haenam-gun plans to realign curved roads, adjust road gradients, improve sight distances, and install additional safety facilities, thereby creating a more convenient and secure traffic environment.
The county will begin design work in the first half of 2026 and proceed with construction in phases following public consultation.
A county official stated, “This project is expected to deliver visible improvements to traffic safety that residents can truly feel.”
They added, “We will continue expanding road safety improvements to ensure Haenam becomes a safer and more accessible place to travel.”
Haenam-gun intends to use this project as a foundation for further enhancements to road infrastructure and pedestrian safety measures throughout the county.
