진도군의 지역사회 단체들이 ‘10월 경로의 달’을 맞아 어르신들을 위한 위안 잔치를 열고, 연합모금사업 ‘모아드림’에 총 700만 원을 기탁하며 따뜻한 나눔 실천에 나섰다.

이번 기탁에는 진도읍 체육회(회장 이승완) 100만 원, 군내면 심죽회(회장 이광석) 100만 원, 고군면 청년회(회장 한윤정) 200만 원, 의신면 신의회(회장 차남진) 100만 원, 임회면 선진회(회장 오상현) 100만 원, 지산면 동백회(회장 배사현) 100만 원 등 진도군 6개 사회단체가 참여했다.

이들 단체는 각 지역에서 어르신 위안잔치 행사를 직접 주관하며 경로 효친의 마음을 전하고, 기부금을 ‘모아드림’에 기탁하며 이웃사랑을 실천했다.

기탁 단체 관계자는 “작은 정성이지만 겨울을 앞두고 도움이 필요한 이웃에게 보탬이 되길 바라는 마음으로 동참했다.”며 “앞으로도 지역 공동체가 서로를 돌보는 나눔 문화를 이어가겠다.”고 밝혔다.

연합모금사업 ‘모아드림’은 진도군과 전남사회복지공동모금회, 진도군 지역사회보장협의체가 함께 추진하는 민관협력 복지 사업으로, 기탁금은 위기 상황에 놓인 취약가구 지원과 복지 사각지대 해소를 위해 사용된다.

진도군 관계자는 “지역 단체들이 한마음으로 따뜻한 나눔에 참여해 주셔서 감사드린다.”며 “군에서도 민관이 함께 협력해 이웃을 세심하게 살피는 복지체계를 더욱 강화해 나가겠다.”고 밝혔다.

Jindo’s Six Community Organizations Donate 7 Million Won to “Mo-a Dream” and Host Appreciation Events for Seniors
Local community organizations in Jindo-gun marked October, the Month of Respect for the Elderly, by hosting appreciation events for senior citizens and donating a total of 7 million won to the joint fundraising project “Mo-a Dream.”
Participating organizations included the Jindo-eup Sports Association (Chairman Lee Seung-wan), Gunnae-myeon Simjukhoe (Chairman Lee Gwang-seok), Gogun-myeon Youth Association (Chairwoman Han Yun-jeong), Uisin-myeon Shineuihoe (Chairman Cha Nam-jin), Imhoe-myeon Seonjinhoe (Chairman Oh Sang-hyun), and Jisan-myeon Dongbaekhoe (Chairman Bae Sa-hyun). Each group contributed between 100 and 200 million won, demonstrating collective goodwill.
The organizations not only donated funds but also personally organized events in their respective communities to express gratitude and share warmth with seniors, promoting a spirit of respect for elders and solidarity within the region.
A representative involved in the donation stated, “Though small in amount, we hope this contribution will bring comfort to neighbors in need as the cold season approaches. We will continue to cultivate a culture of sharing and supporting one another in our community.”
The “Mo-a Dream” fundraising initiative is a public-private partnership project jointly operated by Jindo-gun, the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea, and the Jindo Community Security Council. The donations will be used to support households facing crisis and to help bridge welfare gaps.
A Jindo-gun official expressed gratitude, saying, “We sincerely appreciate the commitment of local organizations in spreading warmth through sharing. The county will continue working closely with community partners to strengthen our support system and care for neighbors in need.”
