해남소방서(서장 박춘천)는 11일부터 13일까지 해남 대흥사 일원에서 소방공무원의 정신적 피로 해소와 심리 회복을 위한 ‘마음건강증진 특별프로그램’을 운영했다.

이번 프로그램은 불규칙한 근무와 긴급 상황 대응 등으로 높은 직무 스트레스를 겪는 소방공무원의 번 아웃을 예방하고, 조직 내 심리적 안정을 도모하기 위해 마련됐다.

프로그램은
대흥사 탐방과 고즈넉한 산사 체험
싱잉볼(명상 소리치유) 명상
합장주(염주) 만들기 체험
등으로 구성되어, 참여자들이 스스로 마음을 가라앉히고 감정을 정돈할 수 있도록 진행됐다.

해남소방서는 앞으로도 심리상담 지원, 정신건강 자가 관리 교육 등 맞춤형 심리안정 프로그램을 확대해, 소방대원들이 건강한 정신 상태를 유지하며 안전 활동에 전념할 수 있도록 지원할 계획이다.

박춘천 해남소방서장은 “소방공무원은 반복적인 고강도 업무와 긴장 속에서 근무하기 때문에 심신 부담이 크다”며 “이번 프로그램이 스스로 마음을 돌보고 심리적 회복을 얻는 계기가 되어 직무만족도 향상으로 이어지길 바란다.”고 말했다.

Haenam Fire Station Conducts Mental Health Enhancement Program for Firefighters
Haenam Fire Station (Chief Park Chun-cheon) operated a special mental health enhancement program from the 11th to the 13th at Daeheungsa Temple in Haenam to help firefighters relieve psychological fatigue and restore emotional stability.
This program was designed to prevent burnout among firefighters who are exposed to irregular work schedules and frequent emergency response situations, and to promote psychological stability within the organization.
The program included:
A guided exploration of Daeheungsa Temple and a tranquil mountain temple experience
Singing bowl meditation (sound healing therapy)
Buddhist prayer bead (hapjangju) crafting activity
These activities encouraged participants to calm their minds and restore emotional balance.
Haenam Fire Station plans to continue expanding tailored mental health support programs, including psychological counseling assistance and mental self-care education, to help firefighters maintain a healthy mental state and focus on safe emergency operations.
Chief Park Chun-cheon stated, “Firefighters carry a heavy mental and physical burden due to high-intensity tasks performed under constant tension,” adding, “I hope this program allows our personnel to care for their own well-being, find emotional recovery, and ultimately improve job satisfaction.”
