“청소년이 만든 깨끗한 진도!” 진도군, ‘쓰담쓰담 캠페인’ 전개

진도군 청소년들이 지역 환경을 깨끗하게 만들고 서로를 격려하는 의미 있는 활동을 펼쳤다.

진도군 청소년참여위원회는 최근 진도읍 주요 거리와 공원, 하천 일대에서 청소년 주도의 환경정화 활동인 ‘쓰담쓰담 캠페인’을 진행했다.

이번 캠페인은 ‘쓰레기를 담고, 마음을 쓰다듬는다.’라는 주제로, 청소년들이 직접 활동 구간과 홍보 문구를 기획하고 참여했다.

캠페인 참가자들은 거리와 공원을 걸으며 쓰레기를 줍는 ‘줍깅(줍기+조깅)’ 활동을 통해 환경을 정화하고, 활동 중 서로를 격려하며 마음의 위로도 나누었다.

진도고등학교 봉사동아리 발런타스·RCY, 진도경찰서, 진도백조로타리클럽, 청소년문화의집 청소년운영위원회, 청소년상담복지센터, 학교밖청소년지원센터 등이 함께 참여해 청소년들의 자발적인 노력을 지원했다.

현장에 참여한 청소년들은 “쓰레기를 줍는 동안 마음도 함께 깨끗해지는 기분이었다.”며, “우리 손으로 진도를 깨끗하게 만들고 서로를 격려할 수 있어 뜻깊은 시간이었다.”고 소감을 전했다.

진도군 관계자는 “청소년이 직접 기획하고 실천한 ‘쓰담쓰담 캠페인’은 청소년들이 지역 변화를 이끄는 주체로 성장하고 있음을 보여주는 뜻깊은 활동이었다.”며, “앞으로도 청소년의 창의적이고 자발적인 사회참여 활동을 적극 지원하겠다.”고 밝혔다.

진도군은 청소년참여위원회와 함께 앞으로도 청소년 주도의 다양한 사회참여 활동을 지속적으로 추진해, 군민과 함께하는 건강한 봉사 문화를 확산해 나갈 계획이다.

“Clean Jindo Created by Youth!” Jindo County Launches ‘Ssudam Ssudam Campaign’
Youth in Jindo County have carried out a meaningful activity to clean up their community while encouraging one another.
The Jindo County Youth Participation Committee recently organized the youth-led environmental cleanup initiative, ‘Ssudam Ssudam Campaign,’ in key streets, parks, and riversides across Jindo-eup.
The campaign, under the theme “Pick up trash, soothe your mind,” was fully planned and implemented by the youth themselves, including selecting the areas of activity and creating promotional messages.
Participants engaged in “plogging” (picking up trash while jogging) along streets and parks, cleaning up the environment while sharing words of encouragement and emotional support.
The event was supported by various local organizations, including Jindo High School Volunteer Clubs (Valuntas and RCY), Jindo Police Station, Jindo Baekjo Rotary Club, the Youth Operating Committee at the Jindo Youth Center, the Jindo Youth Counseling & Welfare Center, and the Jindo Out-of-School Youth Support Center, all of which helped foster the youth’s voluntary efforts.
One participant said, “While picking up trash, it felt like our minds were becoming cleaner too,” adding, “It was meaningful to clean Jindo with our own hands and encourage each other at the same time.”
A Jindo County official stated, “The ‘Ssudam Ssudam Campaign,’ planned and carried out by the youth themselves, demonstrates that young people are growing into active agents of change in their community. We will continue to actively support creative and voluntary social participation activities by youth.”
Jindo County, together with the Youth Participation Committee, plans to continue promoting youth-led social engagement activities to expand a healthy culture of volunteerism that involves the entire community.
