“K-컬처 중심 진도교육, 미래를 연다!”

전라남도진도교육지원청(교육장 김 미)은 11월 5일 진도실내체육관에서 ‘2025 보배섬 진도 글로컬 교육축전’을 열고, 지역 교육공동체가 함께하는 K-컬처 중심의 미래교육 축제의 장을 펼쳤다.

이번 축전은 ‘K-컬처의 요람, 진도교육의 미래를 그리다’를 주제로, 예술교육을 통한 지역 문화역량 강화와 학생 주도형 진로·자치문화 확산을 목표로 마련됐다.

행사에는 김대중 전라남도교육감, 김희수 진도군수, 박금례 군의장 등 주요 내빈을 비롯해 관내 학생·학부모·교직원 등 1,300여 명이 함께해 뜨거운 호응을 보냈다.

오전에는 초등학생 중심의 1부 문화예술 공연이 진행됐다.

진도초 등 10개 학교 학생들이 합주·연극·무용·뮤지컬·난타 등 다채로운 공연을 선보이며 관객들의 큰 박수를 받았다.

동시에 ‘퓨처코딩존’, ‘생태진로체험’, ‘마인드리더 진로상담’, ‘글로컬센터 Thanksgiving Day’ 등 25개 체험부스가 운영돼 학생과 학부모가 함께 미래역량을 체험하는 시간도 이어졌다.

오후에는 ‘교육자치협력지구 업무협약 선포식’과 함께 중·고등학생을 위한 ‘진로멘토 북토크콘서트’, ‘진도예술인협회 비보잉 특별공연’이 펼쳐졌다.

특히 이번 협약을 통해 전라남도교육청과 진도군은 2026년부터 2029년까지 4년간 매년 각각 2억 5천만 원씩 대응 투자하여 총 20억 원 규모의 교육자치협력사업을 추진하게 된다.

진도초 6학년 김OO 학생은 “친구들과 함께 준비한 난타 공연을 많은 사람 앞에서 선보여 정말 뿌듯했다”며 “예술이 얼마나 즐겁고 힘이 되는지 느낀 뜻깊은 시간이었다.”고 소감을 전했다.

김 미 교육장은 “보배섬 진도의 학생들은 예술과 삶을 연결하며 배움의 힘을 키워가고 있다”며 “전통예술이 살아 숨쉬는 진도에서 학교와 마을이 함께하는 교육으로 대한민국 글로컬 교육의 중심이 되길 바란다.”고 말했다.

한편, 진도교육지원청은 앞으로도 ‘K-컬처로 이어지는 모두가 보배로운 글로컬 진도교육’ 비전을 중심으로, 학교 교육과정 내실화, 교육공동체 역량 강화, 지역 특색 예술교육, 마을교육공동체 운영 등 다양한 미래역량 기반 교육사업을 지속적으로 추진할 계획이다.

“Jindo Education Leads the Future with K-Culture!”
Jeollanamdo Jindo Office of Education Successfully Hosts the 2025 Treasure Island Jindo Glocal Education Festival
The Jeollanamdo Jindo Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Mi) held the 2025 Treasure Island Jindo Glocal Education Festival on November 5 at the Jindo Indoor Gymnasium, presenting a vibrant festival of future-oriented education centered on K-Culture in collaboration with the local educational community.
Under the theme “Drawing the Future of Jindo Education, the Cradle of K-Culture,” the festival aimed to strengthen local cultural capacity through arts education and promote student-led initiatives in career development and school autonomy.
The event was attended by Jeollanamdo Superintendent of Education Kim Dae-jung, Jindo County Mayor Kim Hee-soo, Jindo County Council Chair Park Geum-rye, along with more than 1,300 students, parents, and educators, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere.
The morning session featured cultural and artistic performances by elementary students.
Students from 10 schools, including Jindo Elementary School, presented a variety of performances such as ensemble music, plays, dance, musicals, and nanta (Korean percussion), earning enthusiastic applause from the audience.
At the same time, 25 experiential booths—including the “Future Coding Zone,” “Ecological Career Experience,” “Mind Reader Career Counseling,” and “Glocal Center Thanksgiving Day”—were operated, providing opportunities for students and parents to experience and develop future competencies together.
In the afternoon, the “Educational Autonomy Cooperation Zone Agreement Ceremony” was held, followed by a “Career Mentor Book Talk Concert” for middle and high school students and a special B-boying performance by the Jindo Artists Association.
Through the newly signed agreement, the Jeollanamdo Office of Education and Jindo County will jointly invest 250 million won each year from 2026 to 2029, totaling 2 billion won (approximately USD 1.5 million) over four years to implement a large-scale educational cooperation project.
Kim ○○, a sixth-grade student at Jindo Elementary School, shared, “It was so rewarding to perform the nanta show that we prepared with my friends in front of such a large audience. I realized how joyful and empowering art can be.”
Superintendent Kim Mi stated, “Students in Jindo are connecting art with life, fostering the power of learning through creativity. I hope that Jindo, where traditional arts are alive and thriving, will become the center of glocal education in Korea through cooperation between schools and the community.”
Moving forward, the Jindo Office of Education plans to continue advancing various educational initiatives to foster future competencies under its vision of “Glocal Jindo Education—Everyone is a Treasure Connected by K-Culture.” These include strengthening school curricula, enhancing educational community capacity, promoting arts education that reflects local identity, and expanding village-based learning communities.
