“학생들의 눈으로 본 세계” — 해남화원고, ‘화원의 반짝이는 시선들’ 미술전시 개최

해남화원고등학교(교장 조병준)는 오는 11월 15일(토)부터 11월 30일(일)까지 목포 KR갤러리(관장 오상원)에서 학생 미술 전시회 「화원의 반짝이는 시선들」을 개최한다.

이번 전시는 화원고 학생들이 1년 동안 다양한 창작 활동을 통해 완성한 작품들을 지역사회에 선보이는 자리로, 학생들의 예술적 성장과 감성을 한눈에 볼 수 있는 뜻깊은 무대가 될 전망이다.

전시에는 초상화, 회화 등 다양한 장르의 작품이 출품된다.

특히 학생들은 ‘자신’과 ‘세계’를 바라보는 시각을 진솔하게 담아내며, 관람객들에게 신선한 감동과 사유의 시간을 선사할 것으로 기대된다.

이번 전시는 화원고 백은영 미술교사(작가)가 학생들과 함께 기획 단계부터 완성까지 동행하며 창작의 전 과정을 함께했다.

백 교사는 학생들이 작품을 통해 스스로를 성찰하고 예술적 성장을 경험하도록 지도했다.

전대상 전시큐레이터(목포 KR갤러리 부관장)는 “백은영 교사의 요청을 받고, 고향 후배들이 준비한 뜻깊은 전시라 흔쾌히 협조했다”며 “학생들은 우리가 지나치는 일상 속에서도 새로운 시선을 발휘하는 재능이 있다. 이번 전시를 통해 그들의 순수하고도 강한 시선을 함께 느끼길 바란다.”고 말했다.

조병준 교장은 “학생들이 지역 문화예술과 직접 연결되고, 작품을 통해 세상과 소통하는 경험을 갖게 되어 매우 뜻깊다”며 “창의성과 감성을 갖춘 미래 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 앞으로도 적극적으로 지원하겠다.”고 전했다.

한편, 전시가 열리는 목포 KR갤러리는 목포시 평화로 28 골든타워 6층에 위치해 있으며, 관람은 누구나 자유롭게 가능하다.

“Seeing the World Through Students’ Eyes” — Haenam Hwawon High School Holds Art Exhibition ‘Hwawon’s Shining Perspectives’
Haenam Hwawon High School (Principal Cho Byung-jun) announced that it will hold a student art exhibition titled “Hwawon’s Shining Perspectives” at Mokpo KR Gallery (Director Oh Sang-won) from November 15 (Saturday) to November 30 (Sunday).
The exhibition will showcase artworks created by students over the past year through various creative activities, offering a meaningful opportunity to share their artistic growth and sensitivity with the local community.
The collection features diverse genres, including portraits and paintings, presenting students’ sincere interpretations of “the self” and “the world.” Visitors can expect to experience fresh inspiration and thoughtful reflection through the students’ unique perspectives.
Art teacher Baek Eun-young, who is also an artist, guided the entire process from planning to completion, accompanying students throughout their creative journey. She encouraged them to reflect on themselves and experience personal and artistic growth through their works.
Jeon Dae-sang, exhibition curator and deputy director of Mokpo KR Gallery, said, “When Ms. Baek asked for cooperation, I gladly accepted because it was a meaningful exhibition prepared by young artists from my hometown. Students have the remarkable ability to see the ordinary in new ways. I hope visitors will rediscover the world through their pure yet powerful perspectives.”
Principal Cho Byung-jun remarked, “It is truly meaningful that our students can connect directly with local culture and art, and communicate with the world through their works. We will continue to provide full support to help them grow into creative and emotionally mature future talents.”
Meanwhile, the exhibition will take place at Mokpo KR Gallery, located on the 6th floor of Golden Tower, 28 Pyeonghwa-ro, Mokpo. The exhibition is open to the public and free of charge.
