“꿈과 열정을 응원합니다” 해남군, 474명 장학생에 4억5,500만원 지원

재단법인 해남군교육재단(이사장 명현관)은 지난 28일 해남군청 대회의실에서 2025년 해남군 장학생 장학증서 수여식을 개최했다.

올해 장학금 수혜자는 총 474명으로, 지원 금액은 4억5,500만원에 달한다. 수여식에는 장학생 대표 78명과 관계자들이 참석했으며, 식전 공연으로 예체능 분야 장학생인 한국무용창작팀과 태권도 시범팀이 수준 높은 무대를 선보였다.

2025년도 장학금 대상자는 성적우수 장학생 75명, 기능영재 장학생 30명, 희망장학생 71명, 예체능·과학 등 특기자 장학생 117명, 기타 장학생 10명 등으로 다양하다.

특히 초등학력인정학교 만학도 23명에게는 배움의 도전을 응원하는 장학금이, 타 지역 전학, 지역사회공헌, 농어업인 육성, 꿈 드림 등 50명에게도 맞춤형 장학금이 지급됐다.

대학생 98명에게는 생활 지원 성격의 장학금이 제공됐다.

명현관 해남군수는 이날 수여식에서 “장학금은 여러분의 꿈과 열정을 해남군민 모두가 응원하는 증표”라며 “학생들이 경제적 걱정 없이 학업에 전념해 해남의 미래를 이끌어갈 주역으로 성장하길 바란다.”고 격려했다.

해남군교육재단은 해남군 장학금 외에도 귀뚜라미문화재단 장학금, 송창영 아너소사이어티 장학금 등 외부 연계 장학금 5,400만원을 추가로 82명에게 지원, 지역 학생들의 경제적 부담을 완화하고 학업에 집중할 수 있는 환경을 조성하는 데 힘쓰고 있다.

Tailored scholarships for adult learners, gifted students, and university students foster Haenam’s future talent
The Haenam County Education Foundation (Chairman Myung Hyun-kwan) held the 2025 Haenam County Scholarship Certificate Ceremony on the 28th at the Haenam County Office’s main conference hall.
This year, a total of 474 students were awarded scholarships totaling KRW 455 million. The ceremony was attended by 78 student representatives and related officials. Prior to the ceremony, students selected for arts scholarships performed an impressive program, including a Korean dance troupe and a Taekwondo demonstration team.
The 2025 scholarship recipients include 75 academic excellence scholars, 30 gifted skills scholars, 71 Hope Scholars, 117 specialty scholars in arts and sciences, and 10 other scholars.
In particular, 23 adult learners at elementary-level accredited schools received scholarships to support their pursuit of learning, and 50 students were awarded tailored scholarships for reasons such as transferring from other regions, contributing to local communities, agricultural and fisheries development, and the “Dream” program.
Additionally, 98 university students received scholarships aimed at supporting living expenses.
At the ceremony, Haenam County Mayor Myung Hyun-kwan said, “These scholarships are a symbol of Haenam residents’ support for your dreams and passions. We hope that students can focus on their studies without financial worries and grow into the leaders who will shape Haenam’s future.”
Beyond the Haenam County scholarships, the Education Foundation also secured external scholarships, including the Kiturami Cultural Foundation Scholarship and the Song Chang-young Honor Society Scholarship, providing an additional KRW 54 million to 82 students. These efforts aim to alleviate financial burdens for local students and create an environment where they can fully concentrate on their studies.
